I'm seeing 4-5 so far.  The skip buttons don't pause, but sometimes they don't actually go in order.  Like I'll listen to song A, then song B comes on, I'll hit back and I get taken to song C, hit forward and get taken to song D.

It's just a whole different dev environment.  And if you're going to optimize for market share, you learn Windows first.  Strange thing though is that typically you don't need drivers for a DAC device in Mac.  My WA7 just works in Mac, but needs a driver in Windows.  *shrugs*

Just got mine today from Amazon, 2.0.0.     Also to the peeps wanting DAC function on their Macs and 64 bit machines, you can always setup a Win 7 32 bit VM using VirtualBox.  It has a feature called USB passthrough which connects the device directly to the virtualized OS.  You can obtain free...

    Woo Audio Amp Owner Unite

USB. I'd like to try it with a different DAC at some point to see if the DAC is a weak link but all I have on hand at the moment is the CLAS SOLO db. My initial stuffy ear impression is that it's a pretty good DAC. But again have had minimal time with it and the tube amp is such a change from...

    Woo Audio Amp Owner Unite

Quote:   Indeed.  My favorite thing about the WA7 is that you really feel you got every penny worth of value from your money.  The same cannot be said about all equipment, even at that price point.  But yeah I was dead set on a Schiit Bifrost/Lyr stack for a long time until I came across...

    Woo Audio Amp Owner Unite

Got my WA7 in last night and WOW is this thing amazing.  The build quality would leave Steve Jobs speechless, yes it's that good!  The shipping weight is 14lbs, that alone should tell part of the story.  No corners were cut, or as John Hammond might say: Spared no expense.  It will be hard to...

Pictures of Your Portable Rig (part XVI)

Quote:   Yeah it's killer.  Especially after dropping all the dough on the CLAS and the RSA it pains me to plug a pair of stock TF10s into that rig.  But I wanted to have the rig ready so I can fully enjoy the potential of the JH-16s.  On the plus side, I have to imagine I am hearing the...

iTouch 5th gen + CLAS Solo -dB + RSA Protector.  Currently waiting on my JH-16s to be built so I'm powering Triple-Fi's with this beast

    iPod Touch vs. iPod Classic

I just recently bought an iTouch 5th gen actually.  I chose it as my DAP for 2 reasons.  The first is that it is an awesome interface as a music player or as a small web connected device.  The second is because I've generally seen reviews that state the iTouch 5 is a good DAP for IEMs.   Now...

    iTouch 5 + SOLO -R + RSA Shadow + JH-16?

So while I wait for my JH-16s to be spun, I'm working out what the new gear will be to run them.  I'm currently just running a Fiio E10, but that doesn't quite seem like it would do justice to the JH-16s.  I'm trying to stay in a gear budget of ~$1000 (not including the iPod) and I need...

Gotta grand to spend. JH16 or better chain?

No need to convince me, I already bought them back on Sunday :D  Gotta ship out the impressions today.  Now I'm on the hunt for a good transportable audio chain.  I think I'm going to move that question over to the amp forum though.  Thanks to all for the advice!

Gotta grand to spend. JH16 or better chain?

Those players look interesting.  By best do you mean best price, portability, sound?  Or a good compromise of variables?  Most of my critical listening is at my desk at work so really transportability is key.  If I'm doing yardwork or housework I don't mind losing some quality going direct to...

Gotta grand to spend. JH16 or better chain?

Thanks for all the advice.  I had forgotten about the lead time required for a custom so I went ahead and ordered the JH16s.  I read a lot of reviews and impressions on the high end phones and I think these will suit my tastes.  I may have enough to upgrade the gear by the time it arrives...

Gotta grand to spend. JH16 or better chain?

So I currently run a pair of Triple Fis with a Fiio e10. I don't have a portable setup yet as the TF10 is tough to move about with. I've got a grand to spend on upgrades and figured I'd see what's is recommended. I was considering the JH16 while it is on sale, but would getting a better chain...
