Comparisons: 36 of the Top Closed/Portable Headphones Around
I beg you to read my comments. I said it would make more sense if one who likes 009 recommend portables such as JH13, k3003 or 5ways. Actually at momentum's price, w4r is much better- gzeminem

Fair enough, I have no objection as to you holding your believes of "momentum is an example of great sound". But please explain in what sense they sound great? I have laid out my judgement criteria which is transparency. I have compared momentum more than 10 times with my t5p, t70p and k3003...- gzeminem

My comments were not targetting anything you said. I can understand if someone changes his taste from 009 to LCD2. Although their sound signature are totally different, they are both very transparent phones hence both have good SQ. but change from 009 to momentum is just too big.- gzeminem

In this audiophile world which is impregnated with misleading reviews and impressions, I have seen too many false assertions. If momentums can be called great or fantastic, please explain in detail in what sense they make you think so? Then why should people pursue super expensive cans such...- gzeminem

k3003, JH13, 5way, just to name few, they are way more consistent with your 009 in terms of transparency and high resolution. I clearly understood what your purpose is, it was you who did not bother to think what I really meant. Had you only owned something like HD600, it would be more...- gzeminem

Somehow I find it hard to believe that one who has owned top cans such as 009 can still enjoy ****ty ones such as momentum and monster beats- gzeminem

Quote: Ahh, my apologies for being not clear. I did compare every one of them individually with my T70p. Therefore the conclusion of dt1350 being more transparent and having higher resolution than the rest of those was not drawn from direct comparison of them. My first impression on...- gzeminem

Quote: Your explanation of coloured makes sense, thank you! However, as to transparency and resolution I beg to differ. I normally use Birdy's "skinny love" and World of Warcraft OST to test it. I can definitely and clearly hear the difference between my T70p and Momentum (1R is even...- gzeminem

Quote: Headphones in this review that I have tried are dt1350, Sony 1R, Beats Executive, Beats Studio and Momentum. Being a beyer fan and having owned quite a few beyer phones, dt1350 is the only one that has above average transparency and resolution. In another words, in my...- gzeminem

Beyerdynamic DT 1350 vs Sony MDR-1R
I have to say dt1350 is better than t70p or t5p in regards to treble, but comparing to my esw11, its treble texture still has some sharp edges. A typical example is Emile Sande. But I especially enjoy the male vocal on dt1350.- gzeminem

Beyerdynamic DT 1350 vs Sony MDR-1R
sorry I was at work so couldnt get into much detail. dt1350 is much more transparent than 1r, and has much higher resolution which leads to a more vivid sound. In these two regards 1r is below average. Some people may like it for rock and hip/hop, but to my ears its sound is muffled and veiled...- gzeminem

Westone 4R vs Shure E535 vs UE900
No I have never owned any 535 by far my friend. But I have always wanted one for SHURE is known to me even when I was in primary school and was far from being an earphone hoarder. We have a small audiophile community here and we meet regularly to compare gears and exchange opinions. This is...- gzeminem

Westone 4R vs Shure E535 vs UE900
Hmm, my accusation of w4r being not transparent has caused some uproar :). Therefore I borrowed my girlfriend's w4r last night and listened to it punctiliously again and I have to apologize for calling it lack of tranparency. In my defence though, I did not like w4r on my first...- gzeminem

no idea about ue900 but as to w4r and 535, they both are not transparent and lack resolution which make them dry and dull. I personally do not recommend them- gzeminem

It seems like my calling what you said "appalling logic" really ticked you off which in turn got myself a train of you deriding my English grammar. You said you had no clue where I got my idea, then let me put it simple for you: your words, I quote here :"If you weren't happy with the...- gzeminem

what an appalling logic you are basically saying the BQ of ibasso dap is not improvable whatsoever, for if one is not happy with dx100 which was designed few years ago should walk away spontaneously from dx50. whatever BQ or UI issue of dx100 that are uninviting should exist in dx50 for THIS...- gzeminem

299 Euro... That's a bit more than what i expected... if it can reach the same level of stability in terms of UI, OS, build quality etc as AK100, I will buy it without hesitation... DAPs like 901, dx100 are absolutely junk.- gzeminem

NEW: Audio-Technica ATH-ESW11LTD
How is sound isolation of esw11ltd? I intend to use it on noisy places such as bus and train. Also, its leather ear pad is bit of a concern to me for the one on my T5P really smothers my ears even in coldest winter. Could anybody shed some lights on these two points? Much appreciated!- gzeminem
