let me get this straight..ray samuels recommended a ray samuels amp..*amazing* in my experience the e500's don't really benefit much from an amp. they are really very easy to drive and out of the few amps i've tried them out of there was not really any noticeable difference. my vote is save...

if you want more bass go for the e500's. of course they are kind of expensive.
