  I tried a pair of Grados at the Washington DC Canmania for the 1st time recently  - I don't know where they are built, but wherever it is foam must sell for the price of gold given how stingy they are with it.   X1s get 90% of my head time - wonderful extremely comfortable headphones.

UE4000s are a steal at that price - biggest drawback is the moderately sloppy bass, but overall quite listenable.

It all comes down to your ears - no way to tell other than trying them. I'm more sensitive than most to hot treble, so there's a good chance they might not bother you. Other than the hot treble (which kills them for me), the 668B is in many ways a good value. My recommendation is to make sure...
