Severed wire on Senn PX100
The cord at the end of the jack is bared and sound is only coming out of left phone. I don't believe the cable/jack can be replaced. Any fix for this? These are right at the end of 2-year warranty but I don't believe this would qualify for a warranty repair.- deckard0

Any trick to this pair of headphones? There is no sound coming out of the right ear piece. I've checked the cable, no damage or crimps. Also tried the phones in computer jack and ipod. I'm suspecting I may have to return these as defective out of the box. Thanks- deckard0

Senn HD555 impressions
Received the 555s in the mail last night. a bit underwhelmed at the bass response but ipod EQ does help some. it's amazing to me that the px100s outperform the 555s on bass response. i am impressed however with the 555s "airiness" and presence. good midrange and treble also. i'm on the fence...- deckard0

Thanks for your responses. It looks like my budget may be extended to the $180 range. Amazon has the Senn hd595 for around that price. Would you recommend the hd595s?- deckard0

Grado vs. Senn
Have enjoyed Senn PX 100 for the past 2 years loving both the sound and comfort. I enjoy the "i forgot i was wearing them" comfort level. Also like a rich sound with not too much high end. Plenty of bottom end but not overpowering. Ready to take the next step for some movie watching and ipod...- deckard0

Compliment to PX100s

Compliment to PX100s
I have been using the Senn PX100s with my iPod for almost 2 years and have loved every second but I am ready to take the next step. Just wanting to see what you guys recommend for the next step in headphones after the PX100s. I enjoy the sound of the PX100s but am curious about the SR-60s and...- deckard0

Looking for the best sub 100$ portable headphone on the market
New to the head-fi world but my vote goes for the px-100s. Comfortable and a nice laid-back, natural sound. Theyre also fairly portable since they fold up nicely.- deckard0

Champagne taste, Beer budget
So I've been listening to the PX-100's for 6 months or so now. Love them still but am looking to go the IEM route. Was in an Apple store today and saw the ETY 6i's and I almost pulled the trigger but they were listed at 149. Amazon has them for 79. I also recall the ER-4p's getting rave reviews...- deckard0

Quote: PX100 are quite nice although I sometimes miss a little isolation so that I dont have to pump up the volume so loud in the subway. That's the first thing I noticed and maybe the only (minor) complaint I have with the PX100's. No isolation whatsoever!- deckard0

i'm leaning toward the Koss KSC 75's, for the price alone, and all the good recommendations. thanks for all the replies. BTW, are there any electronics stores that demo these headphones? That would be the true test.- deckard0

First of all, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Jonathan. I found this forum while doing a search on recommended headphones. Seems to be a lot of knowledgeable folks here. I've been reading through the posts and thought I'd do one of my own. I'm in the market for a set of "cans" that...- deckard0
