i am looking for headphones for gym work.   1...i prefer over-the-ear since my gym plays it's music loud. 2...also, NOT heavy on the bass 3...and a detachable male/male 3.5 jack because i already have a cord that's the perfect length. 4...relatively cheap of course...it's only gym related...

the only time my listening gets "loud" is the occasional big band, classical orchestra. even my pop/rock stuff is from the 50's 60's and 70's. i've had a number of sennheisers and loved them all, px100, sp 25, 550, 210. i have a denon 1001, etynomics. as you can see i try to keep the purchases...
