Basically, I have some speakers, Sansui model S-61U, from the late 70's I believe. Got 'em off CL cheap, and they work pretty well, but I think they can be better.   The two issues are:   1) Resonance in the midranges leading to muddy sound 2) Weak bass (despite 12" woofers; closed...

I'm just burning in with white noise... been moving stuff around, so I've only gotten about 12 hours in.

Yowza, these are BRIGHT.  This is beyond sibilance, frankly things don't sound that distorted, it just sounds like everything above 5kHz is amplified immensely!   Great clarity, but damn...   So, let's see if burn-in is a myth.  Will update.
