Hello all, Is there any audio degradation of using an XLR Y Splitter? I want to send a balanced signal out of my DAC to both my speaker amp and headphone amp but only one XLR out. Also would having one side of the splitter temporarily unplugged and using the other side cause any weird issues?

Looking into getting a balance system. For the Amp I understand it as it drives direct amplification cleanly to each headphone. But for a balanced DAC, what difference is it making? Is it just each channel has cleaner sound because of the reduced interference?    Curious semi-audiophile :)
