Long time lurker looking for a set of good over ear headphones...
Quote: I don't know how the Snowball compares to it, and I guess if you were to go for the dt770s it doesn't really matter, since it hardly leaks any sound, if any. But I just like the modmic, since it has a really decent low price, and I like having my mic on the side of my headphones, I...- Scylin

Long time lurker looking for a set of good over ear headphones...
Quote: The soundmagics are £160 though, £170 on Amazon. Also, I'd say the Beyers also run great from your soundcard, if you were to get an amp, it'd only be needed for portable use I guess. Then again, these are all OUR opinions, so one thing I'd recommend before buying anything is...- Scylin

Long time lurker looking for a set of good over ear headphones...
I just bought myself a pair of DT770 pro 250 ohms, I think they're wonderful. They're pretty versatile all around, I use them for gaming, music, and movies. I'm also an avid listener of dubstep and I have to say the 770s do a really nice job, they're not really heavy on the bass, but they're...- Scylin

Looking for budget IEMs for use in the gym
Any other people that have an opinion? I'm most likely going for the S6, because of the added accessories, they're a bit higher than what I wanted to spend, but yea... They're sweat resistant and everything, and I suppose they'd sound good as well.- Scylin

Desperate newbie in need of your help
Here's a link to Amazon, I believe these are the ones you're looking for. http://www.amazon.co.uk/JVC-HA-FXD80-Carbon-Nanotube-In-Earphone/dp/B0081YU6YW/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1349051219&sr=1-1 There's currently one from one of Amazons sellers, it's 77 pounds with shipping...- Scylin

Looking for the best portable headphone that's under a very strict budget?
The monoprice are really good from what I've read. (I don't have them myself, they're over $30 with shipping in the EU, and have yet to find them from a reasonable price in the UK) What I also read was that they either fit you or they don't, but I guess that's with all IEMs, and you can always...- Scylin

Looking for budget IEMs for use in the gym
Quote: Hey, Thanks for bringing those up. I've seen them being recommended everywhere, but the thing is, I'm from the Netherlands, the only place I can buy them is from their site, which with shipping and stuff will bring the price up to ~$40, which I think is rather high, for a pair...- Scylin

Looking for budget IEMs for use in the gym
Oh and some of the IEMs I've been looking at... MEElectronics S6, but not preferable, as the price is $50, which is more than I'd want to spend. http://www.meelec.com/MEE_Sport_Fi_S6_p/ep-sfs6-rdbk-mee.htm MEElectronics M6, heard a lot of good things about them, any other people...- Scylin

Any good desktop mics, for gaming
God I've been looking for this as well. I got myself a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 pros and I need a proper mic with it since I'm almost always in a Skype conversation when I'm behind my computer. If anyone could give some suggestions that haven't been made yet, feel free :). I'm...- Scylin

Help me buy some decent starting cans
Quote: Hi, Thanks for the reply once again. I've just taken the plunge and ordered the DT770s because the 990s are open headphones and I'd be using them in different places, so open headphones aren't really going to work for me. Thanks for the advice though. I'm going to be...- Scylin

Also, if I were to go for the DT990s, would I need an amp with it? Or will a DG soundcard suffice? Or a DX card for that matter?- Scylin
