I own the Takatsuki 274B, and it’s an amazing tube! Now I’m using Bendix 6106 and a Mullard 5AR4 4 notch tube

I owned the Copper Axios as well! Actually I was the only one on the planet with the Axios! And that’s me in the advertisement. I didn’t pay for my 10 foot cable either. It was a gift from Nathan Allen.

Ok. Listened to Moby’s song “thousand” and the utopias kept up with no issues!!! Just amazing!!! Must say!!!

Someone please recommend a preamp tube for my WA6 which is powering my Focal Utopia’s. The 13EM7’s have no issue running my Utopia’s, but looking for everyone’s thought on the 12SN7GT’s though, and maybe direct me to other tubes that are compatible with the 2nd generation. Thanks!

My WA6 (Woo Audio) uses 13EM7’s which have 2 triodes that are different than the other which has a high mu and a low mu output. I’m going to be purchasing a pair of 12SN7GT’s in a few days. Had them before, and they’re pretty good to be honest

I will say this….I have DSOTM 30th anniversary hybrid, and an old version of DSOTM, and listening through my OPPO SACD player; and I can hear so much more on the SACD format, than that crumby old version of the album. Also, I have the Focal Utopia headphones. And a very nice setup! I can hear...

I should also add that I’m using the Woo Audio WA6 with GammaTron 12SN7GT power/driver tubes and a Takatsuki TA-274B with Silver Reference RCA’s from Luminous Audio, among other upgrades.

I think you’ll like it! You might not notice a difference at first, but if you A/B the Takatsuki, and the 596, you’ll know what I mean….but I don’t recommend pulling a $1250 tube in and out of the socket either! But you’ll notice a difference with how fast the music can transition, and not lag...
