The Hifiman RE2000 - a high end dynamic IEM

Yes, they are very good for 200$ if they are legit and not broken in any way. I still use mine from time to time, the material slowly degrade, I repaired them a few times and now one of the ear buds has a lower volume but I think I have to clean the nozzles. As a comparison, they should be one...

    Denon AH-D9200 - 2018 Flagship - Impressions Thread

i have TH909, don't think it's mk2, probably the same size tough and D9200 which i think it's has drivers a bit smaller in diameter.

Final A8000 Beryllium Diaphragm Dynamic IEM Comments and Impressions

Of course it's subjective but different, balanced and more powerful doesn't mean better sound quality, even if in theory balanced should mean cleaner signal than single ended. In practice, there are too many things changing the result, the quality of all have too really match, not only on paper...

Final A8000 Beryllium Diaphragm Dynamic IEM Comments and Impressions

Hi, about single ended vs balanced, i rarely, if ever heard any difference in terms of sound quality, of course balanced outputs are more powerful. it's kind of debatable if balanced output makes ay difference, there are too many variables in the audio chain, from recording to audio devices...

    FiiO M15 Audio Player | Dual AK4499EQ | 7490 mAh Battery | 64 GB ROM | $1299.99

Any hopes apple music will ever work with M15? It has some issues on my smartphone too, one plus 7 pro, if I choose high bit rates, it gives some errors. Edit: i take this back, one plus 7 pro is able to play hi res lossless tracks, i guess the latest updates fixed it. I'll try tomorrow to...

    Denon AH-D9200 - 2018 Flagship - Impressions Thread

What AMP do you use with the D9200? I am using a PC as a source (Asus Xonar D2X), would see benefits in adding a DAC? i use it with Fiio M15 and tried it with Topping A90, couldn't hear any difference in terms of quality even if the DAC is matrix x-sabre pro mqa which is obviously superior...

    Denon AH-D9200 - 2018 Flagship - Impressions Thread

Hi, recently both a pair of D9200. I like them, seems easy enough driven by fiio M15 and sounds very well. Not sure if it is suitable for portable use as it doesn't isolate in noisy environment. Has anyone compared it to audeze lcd-xc? Shouldn't be much different in terms of overall quality...

The Hifiman RE2000 - a high end dynamic IEM

I'm also selling mine because I have final audio a8000. But not in a hurry because I did this recently: plugged re2000 into topping a90 connected to matrix x-sabre pro mqa. Then boom! The sound was something else! The iems are normally for portables, this combo took re2000 to a new level, i...

    [FiiO M11 Plus LTD/M11 Plus] THXAAA-78,Android 10, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output/4.4 LO output, Dual AK4497/ES9068AS DAC chips, 4GB RAM,64G Flash

You should be responding, not a user, don't you know what your own device is capable of? Again: what is the point of all to dsd mode?

    [FiiO M11 Plus LTD/M11 Plus] THXAAA-78,Android 10, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output/4.4 LO output, Dual AK4497/ES9068AS DAC chips, 4GB RAM,64G Flash

I asked on m15 thread, i see that they advertise all to dsd mode on m11 plus as being better, for a "purer sound". So the questions: what is the point of all to dsd mode? How is the sound purer? How would an mp3 be purer in dsd mode?

    FiiO M15 Audio Player | Dual AK4499EQ | 7490 mAh Battery | 64 GB ROM | $1299.99

Final A8000 Beryllium Diaphragm Dynamic IEM Comments and Impressions

i have a copper cable which is suppose to have high quality, a8000 sound very well out from a sony wm1a but i don't think any burn in is real.

    FiiO M15 Audio Player | Dual AK4499EQ | 7490 mAh Battery | 64 GB ROM | $1299.99

Yes, because the sorting is text based, to put it simple, it doesn't know that the folder names are consecutive numbered based, hence whatever starts with 'CD 1' will always be sorted before whatever starts with 'CD 2'. The solution was already suggested, use names like 'CD 01', 'CD 02'.

    FiiO M15 Audio Player | Dual AK4499EQ | 7490 mAh Battery | 64 GB ROM | $1299.99

Yes, it was a commercial success, no doubt about it. Still, they advertised it as a big shot smart device delivering high quality sound. Smart features are slow and were deprecated from start due to the obsolete hardware, yet you paid for them. As for the battery life, i think we can compare it...

    FiiO M15 Audio Player | Dual AK4499EQ | 7490 mAh Battery | 64 GB ROM | $1299.99

is is not only the sound that is not worth the price, it is also the other features, smart features as they are called now. For which we paid but didn't actually get, poor screen, poor hardware, slow responsiveness, huge battery having equal cycle as smartphones with half power and so on. The...

    FiiO M15 Audio Player | Dual AK4499EQ | 7490 mAh Battery | 64 GB ROM | $1299.99

As usual it is a matter of taste, but I modded the wm1a firmware, go to the sony walkman custom firmware huge thread here on head fi and read what people say. Take the custom firmware from @MrWalkman website and judge for yourself. For me, sound wise there is no contest, wm1a is just fantastic...

    FiiO M15 Audio Player | Dual AK4499EQ | 7490 mAh Battery | 64 GB ROM | $1299.99

After getting a sony wm1a at a good price, my m15 is just busy doing nothing. My thought is to either get used to Fiio numerous issues or buy a real dap.
