    Klipsch x10 Mircophonics recable

I'm thinking about having mine re-cabled at BTG-audio when they finally go kaput. But I really just want to see an image of them re-cabled because they're kind of awkwardly shaped, being ear-dildos and all, so I'm pretty curious as to how re-cabling them works.   EDIT: I actually found...

    Best sub-$100 earphone (or headphone)

Thinking about getting the klipsch x10's for $85, is this a good deal? My concerns are n the cable and strain reliefs, but I'm thinking I could just put a little heat-shrink tubing on there. It seems like a pretty good deal. To anyone who has used them--do they seem to be what I'm looking for?

    Best sub-$100 earphone (or headphone)

I'm a student so I think you can imagine the beating these will take no matter how careful I am with them. I just need a pair of earphones (preferably) that I can enjoy and won't burn a hole in my pocket. I used to have a pair of UM2s and loved them, but after selling them... I'm out of the IEM...

Perfect downgrade from UM2? Thoughts on the UM2 as well

Can't believe I'm going to say this but...I want to downgrade from my UM2s...I love them to death, and I baby them so much. I just don't think they're a good fit for my lifestyle, I mean I usually abuse all my stuff, and well, I don't want to be carrying around these things in college. Is there...

Need help finding an unbreakable IEM

Looking into used UM2s more and more...I've been thinking that maybe these could be the ones although thy looks fragile I've heard they're quite robust and can handle quite a bit and that's what I'm thinking as well, and of course I'm going to take care of them really well now that I've had some...

Need help finding an unbreakable IEM

yeah I hear the GR07s are great, but they're most likely made from that same kind of brittle plastic that my GR04s were

Need help finding an unbreakable IEM

Is there even such a thing? I'm looking for a headphone that will last a good 5 years; I've had so many things go wrong with headphones, and I'm getting tired of having to keep shelling out money every few months. I've had the Klipsch S4's and those broke because the plug at the end is straight...

    Need an upgrade

Wow that's a long list, I'll have to check them all out. How are the TF10's(not pro)?

    Need an upgrade

Well it doesn't really matter what kind of drivers they have right? As long as they deliver? I'm not too concerned with the Balanced VS Dynamic thing. I just want to get some higher end $100-$200  IEMs that can fulfill my needs and then I can jump off the IEM train for a while until something...

    Need an upgrade

Yeah, I've noticed that with the E6...but it does seem to improve slightly so I like using it. Idk though, it's still within the return period, should I just return it and save up for an E11? Also...I LOVE mids, and the GR04's are excellent at that, but I've also had the Klipsch S4's and I...

    Need an upgrade

Okay, I have the FiiO E6 Amplifier right now and the Vsonic GRO4s. Now this is just my cheap set-up, to hold me through until I can get a little more cash. I'm pretty satisfied right now, but I really have the desire to upgrade. What could you recommend a Rock-loving, bass-enjoying newbie like...

    Best ~$40 headphones

Okay, how do they hold up against the Brainwavz M2? Are the M2's even that great? I just want a fun headphone, and I'm liking the looks/reviews of the GR04's but I don't know much about them

What would be your review for the SQ of those? type of bass, mids, highs, soundstage, etc.? They look pretty nice

    Best ~$40 headphones

Used to have the S4's but they have a poor cable and they broke, and they're about $40 right now, but I want something better. I love thumping bass, a good soundstage, and nice mids. Listen to rock, metal and electronic. Give me some suggestions. Brainwavz M2 is what I'm thinking about right...

    Best rugged IEM's under $150?

I feel like I can just get the UM1's tho and play around with the bass on my phone's EQ and get some good bass. I'm not an experienced audiophile by any means and quite the basshead I guess, not overpowering but thumping bass is nice. SO, will the UM1's be better than the S4's? Will I be...

so the UM2's have MORE punchy bass than the 215's? or the same amount? And they have better mids, highs, and soundstage than the UM1's?

    Best rugged IEM's under $150?

They're so expensive though and I'm impatient lol, what's the second best? Basically all I want is the sound of the Se215's with the comfort and cable's of the UM1, all around the same price-range. Does such  an abomination exist?

    Best rugged IEM's under $150?

Quote:  This really changed my thinking. Sorry to keep this thread going on and on. But I think it's a seriously big question as I don't have 100's of dollars to keep throwing away every few months. So I'm thinking of just saving up my money. What's a good pair of earphones just as good as...

    Best rugged IEM's under $150?

SIgh...the 215's are $85 shipped and the UM1's will be around $110 shipped. I'm gonna pull the trigger on the 215's because they seem like they're more "fun"(I've decided to listen to my inner bass-head) and are cheaper. Please reassure me that this is the right choice. I'm just worried about...

    Best rugged IEM's under $150?

I have a pretty good ear and not even trying any other headphones I thought the bass on the S4's I had were a little overpowering to the mids and highs. They weren't as muddy as Beats but I still didn't necessarily like that kind of bass. I hear the shure's do have some penetrating bass though...

    Best rugged IEM's under $150?

Okay I'm sorry to change things up a little, but I think my choice now has turned into a SE215 VS Westone UM1's decision. They're both around $90 on headphonesolutions.com so...anyone care to explain to my newbish mind to which one would be better for my tastes in music? To my understanding...

Studying, walking around campus, on public transport. Walking around is a biggie, I don't want to have to keep readjusting once I have them in.

    Best rugged IEM's under $150?

Yeah I'm pretty seriously looking at the SE215's now, they look awesome. Does anyone know how comfortable they are though? the reason I ask is because I can't stand the way ipod earbuds fit in my ears, so I don't want that same discomfort. It may just be a matter of getting used to their fit though

    Best rugged IEM's under $150?

I liked the S4's and all, but they just don't appeal to me anymore. I love how beefy the 215's cable is and the reviews are awesome. How comfortable are they though? And I know they've reportedly had problems so I might go a step up and get the 315's. I don't think I can afford the step up...

SO, I realize there are literally around 50 of these threads and they've given me a great idea of what to get but I still need help deciding. Here's a little background info: I listen to mostly Rock, heavy metal, and some House/electronic. I know that's quite a wide range for a tight budget...
