Could someone held me identify which version of the Audeze LCD-2 this is?

I've had these for a few years in my closet and don't remember what it is that's special about these. Note that the driver housing is completely wooden, and the wood color is darker than the bamboo (just looks strangely light in these photos). Everything I see online has a wooden housing up...

Best headphones or earphones that don't require external amplification. Money is not an issue.

Thanks man, that's perfect. I love powerful bass so A12 is perfect. Is there any specific place that's best to go for impressions?

Best headphones or earphones that don't require external amplification. Money is not an issue.

I want something fantastic and extremely comfortable that I can wear all day if I need to. They can be custom IEMs if necessary.   One thing that really annoys me in a headphone is harsh highs (I have the Bose QC25 and ATH-M50 and they both have that problem at high volumes) so I want to get...

Should I upgrade to the Alpha Dogs or go with something else for the money?

Sweet! Just tell me where you want to meet up and we'll make it happen. I can't do it on Saturday, but any time on Sunday is fine if that's alright with you. I don't have any good amplifier besides my sound card and e11, so I don't know if that's something you have either.

Should I upgrade to the Alpha Dogs or go with something else for the money?

Oh my gosh, that would be incredible. I live over in Round Rock, so I don't know how close that is to you. You can also try it my Mad Dogs if you want. Thanks!

Should I upgrade to the Alpha Dogs or go with something else for the money?

I'd say that currently the only thing I really think it lacks is sound stage and spacing. It isn't bad by any means, but that's just something I hugely value. That and a warm headphone with some bass to it that doesn't sound too boomy. I've had my Mad Dogs since around Christmas time.

Should I upgrade to the Alpha Dogs or go with something else for the money?

Hello, everyone! I currently own the Mad Dogs and love them. Super comfortable, sound great, etc. However, I also am going to come into some money and I feel the need to buy something new. I could either send my Mad Dogs in to upgrade them to Alphas, or just buy something new to go along with my...

Need help with a Gift: Good Gaming Headphones that do not require an AMP

Then I would recommend the Logitech G930 for that use. Fantastic Headset for the money.   Best Wishes,  DigitalTherapy

Best Headphones under $100 Without an Amp?

Oh God, he's right. The UE6000's are better than the ATH-M50's in my opinion, didn't know they were under $100 on Amazon right now.  Forget me suggesting the ATH-M50's when the Logitechs are available for less money.   Best Wishes,  DigitalTherapy

Best Headphones under $100 Without an Amp?

At the risk of sounding unoriginal, the ATH-M50's still remain as one of the best under $200. They are currently available new on Amazon for $102 and used for around $90. I know it's $2 over budget, but c'mon. Skip that coffee one day if you really like them.   Best Wishes,  DigitalTherapy

Need help with a Gift: Good Gaming Headphones that do not require an AMP

I bought a pair solely for the microphone use and couldn't stand the sound, myself. I think it sounds too bright and kind of like tinny if that's the word for it. I also don't think it's very comfortable; I had to take it off after between matches. For $50, considering it includes a decent...

Trying to decide which Headphone is right for me ($600 price limit)

Okay, I'll probably get the D5000's then. Will that amp be good enough? Any better amps for the money for that Headphone? How are the Ultrasone Pro 900's?

Trying to decide which Headphone is right for me ($600 price limit)

Hello everyone, this is my first post. I'm looking to buy a new pair of Headphones. I currently own the ATH-M50's and they're lovely, but I want something more. I mostly listen to Pop (The New Pornographers type stuff) and Indie (Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, etc.) Maybe some Electronic and...
