I've had my HE-300s for a long time and I don't really want to upgrade honestly, I love them, they're great. Recently the screw that connects the leather/metal headband to the actual speaker broke and I cannot fix it myself as far as I can see, what should I do? I dont think Hifiman offers...

Being the silly, silly, non-english man I am I thought you meant the weight pounds...   I can't really suggest anything off the top of my head but the only thing I would contribute is that bass is generally NOT good for gaming..you want a very balanced headphone for gaming, generally.

I'd consider the low-end Etymotic Research IEMs..by far the best isolation Ive EVER experienced and they're very musical for how well they get rid of sound.

Why do you need a removable cable? Its nice but I dont think it should be a deal breaker if you like the K550.   My only suggestion is AUDITION BEFORE YOU BUY. If at all possible search for places near you that have a decent headphone selection and AUDITION AUDITION AUDITION, bring your own...

If you want IEMs with some soundstage/depth get the hifiman ones, can't remember their name exactly and I'm on a phone so it'd be hard for me to check.

Do you want to spend $75 or $400? Ok. $75:T50RP $400:HE-400,HD650,HE-300,DT880 and a million other headphones. They're REALLY not comparable. Here's my opinion though: get HE-300s & a good amp. Its probably not a popular opinion but honestly, I prefer the HE-300 to the HE-400.

I dont know..Im not an expert on putting IEMs in washing machines, and I dont anyone is. Also this is the sort of thing thats extremely case by case basis, maybe yours will sound fine, maybe they wont. Good luck though, they're decent IEMs.

Yeah the difference is basically sound quality and file size.   Like a 4 minute mp3 is 9.72mb while a 4 minute flac is around 35mb.
