    EQ curve question...

Thank you all for the replies, I see now that it's a Freq. R. curve. I did learn a little more about EQ'ing at the high end tho!! I have some old songs that really opened up with the high end raised a little.       Dana

    EQ curve question...

I saw this ad in an audiofile magazine advertizing a high end microphone. Can someone tell me if this curve is just specific to mic's or not? I'm testing the high end as an EQ setting and it does really open up the highs without any problems yet.   Thanks,   Dana

    Bowers and Wilkins MM-1 DAC/AMP

I bought some Bose CP5's 3 weeks ago. I really like them but this AM I saw the Bowers & Wilkens A7 introduced on Engadget! They are pricy but I'm returning the Bose this AM and will wait for the A7 at the Apple store. After I bought the Bose(unaware of anything else in this genre) I researched...

DAC w/ ATH-M50 for computer setup

I use a Nuforce uDac-2 and M50's. I like bass but not a bass head. I use Pure Music for my player. And just recently discovered after 40 years of using EQ's, That the Melda Multiband Dynamics audio unit can work much better than an EQ! It can actually expand the lows and compress the highs. The...

So I got my money back for Fidelia(I needed play counts, etc.). Very simple process. I bought Bitperfect but need to EQ. Ordered a Nuforce Icon 2. Received it today. Plugged it in. Set it for 96/24. Fired up a song in iTunes. Checked EQ. And It WORKS perfectly.    For me with 320 kbp/s...

Mac OS X Music Players - alternatives to iTunes

Quote: I'm using 1.2.0b2. I tried the headphone module too. Sounds different but then theres MORE settings to tweak!   I've literally re-built my library 15 times in the last ten years. 10 in the last 2 years. I started from DAT copies of vinyl and cassette recordings at 128 kbp/s...

Mac OS X Music Players - alternatives to iTunes

Hello Everyone. I just joined after reading a LOT of this thread! I didn't know software like Fidelia existed until this past Monday. I downloaded it and immediately my jaw dropped. Most of my library is 320kbp/s and I'm using Grado SR 80's. I had just (kinda) finished my 8,000 track library...
