Does anyone use mog?
I'll be moving to Spotify. Being a Squeezebox user I have little choice. As far as Beats go, I wish them well. They are in business to make money. Had MOG made more money they would still be in business and this wouldn't be an issue. cubdog -

They will loosen up a bit. You can try stretching them over some books or something similar to speed the process. Really nice headphones. Enjoy them! cubdog- cubdog

Class D - heaven or hell ?
Quote: First off I haven't kept up with this thread and I will catch up. I can agree with some of your observations but in general no I can't. My first impressions of my Bel Canto mono blocks was positive and I continue to be very happy with them. I am not a bass guy, not even close. I...- cubdog

The Takstar, Technical Pro, Gemini Greathon, CyberX, Qpad Thread
Quote: You are correct and I had forgotten about the HM5 pads which I have. So, another question. How the heck do you fit them onto the Pro 80 cups? That small slot is nearly impossible to fit the ear pad into. No matter what I try I can't seem to get in in there. It's hard enough getting...- cubdog

Quote: Except I'm not talking about the Ti headphones. My question concerns the original FA-003s. Just because the two look the same doesn't mean they are identical. Your reply doesn't address my other questions either. But thanks for the help anyway. cubdog- cubdog

Quote: I'm still trying to figure out which earpads are the best available replacement for the Pro 80s. There is nothing wrong with the Pro 80 pads other than their smallish inner diameter that makes them uncomfortable on my ears. I don't have large ears so I'm surprised no one else has...- cubdog

Quote: I believe asked before but never saw an answer. Do these existing wood cups fit the original FA-003 headphones? If so, how would I find out which woods are available and how to place an order for them? I'm sure others here are wondering the same thing. Thanks. cubdog- cubdog

The Takstar, Technical Pro, Gemini Greathon, CyberX, Qpad Thread
Soundwise the Pro 80s are very nice. Most everything written about them here is true. My only complaint, as I have stated, is the size of the earcups. They are significantly smaller than those on the HI2050s which I find perfect. Because of this I prefer the 2050s just slightly over the Pro80s...- cubdog

Quote: That is a subjective question. Impossible to answer. The best to me might be different to you or to someone else. That said, I love my Takstar HI2050s and my Gemini version of the Pro 80. I think the Pro 80s sound a bit better but the Takstars are more comfortable. I haven't heard...- cubdog

Quote: I have the Jaycar version so I could try them on the Gemini. I'm surprised they will fit as they appear to be much larger than the Gemini. How about velours? Are the Shures still the best bet? Can anyone give me the inner dimensions on those? cubdog- cubdog

I got my Gemini HSR1000 headphones yesterday. I love their sound, looks and quality. But I got a big surprise with the actual size of the ear pads. The Gemini pads are significantly smaller than the Takstar HI2050 pads. I'm pretty sure I have read all 43 pages of this thread, more than once. I...- cubdog

I just ordered a pair of the Pro 80 Gemini version. As much as I like the HI-2050s I couldn't resist. I'm not crazy about the coiled cord but I guess I'll get used to it. Now I really have to sell off some headphone I'm not listening to. They will be here Thursday. cubdog- cubdog

I have both the HI2050s and Jaycars as well. I actually find their sound signatures to be remarkably similar given one is open and the other closed. Both are great headphones for jazz which is my primary interest. I do find the Takstars to be quite a bit more comfortable although I would not...- cubdog

My only complaint with them is their comfort level. That's minor however as I find most all headphones to be uncomfortable. I seldom use any headphone for more than a couple of hours straight so I can deal with that. cubdog- cubdog
