In bass or in-your-face-ness?

I couldn't justify spending $200 on a dac/amp combo for $400 headphones, so I took a shot in the dark and ordered an FX-AUDIO DAC-X6 from AliExpress for my x00's. Should be able to review them soon

  No, unfortunately. I should mention that there is a headphone amplifier on this board as well, so at $58~$60 this is a steal. All of the other outputs are unamplified.

I would love to mod the Fostex logo to be gold instead of black, a la the Denon series.   Would this be relatively easy to do?

Burned them in for an hour with pink noise then used them for a few hours. My impressions:   I don't own the Piston 2's so I can't directly compare, but these are NOT lacking in bass. This is coming from someone who listens almost exclusively to electronic music. The sub-bass is very strong...
