Best portable amp for FOSTEX th-x00
I couldn't justify spending $200 on a dac/amp combo for $400 headphones, so I took a shot in the dark and ordered an FX-AUDIO DAC-X6 from AliExpress for my x00's. Should be able to review them soon- tj28

FX-Audio DAC-X6 2016 Release; potential sub-$100 king?
No, unfortunately. I should mention that there is a headphone amplifier on this board as well, so at $58~$60 this is a steal. All of the other outputs are unamplified.- tj28

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
I'm thinking bass-light with a big soundstage. Thanks for the HD 600 recommendations! K701's are getting super cheap ($130 on eBay) so I might grab one of those as that's an insane value. Quote: I'm kind of worried about this too. I would hate to buy another pair to only find...- tj28

What would be a good open headphone to complement these, sub-$300? I was thinking the K712.- tj28

FX-Audio DAC-X6 2016 Release; potential sub-$100 king?
A new iteration of FX-Audio's flagship-class DAC-X6 has been released for 2016. I have yet to find any audiophile reviews for this model in English so the value of this DAC is still unknown, however, it looks very promising. Technical Specifications: Standard...- tj28

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
I would love to mod the Fostex logo to be gold instead of black, a la the Denon series. Would this be relatively easy to do?- tj28

Xiaomi Pistons 3.0 Impressions Thread
Burned them in for an hour with pink noise then used them for a few hours. My impressions: I don't own the Piston 2's so I can't directly compare, but these are NOT lacking in bass. This is coming from someone who listens almost exclusively to electronic music. The sub-bass is very strong...- tj28

I'm still torn... (Denon D2k vs Ultrasone Pro 750)
I've been trying to snag a D2k off eBay for cheap (<$250) with no luck. $275 is the highest my budget will allow. (for cans only) Lately I've been looking at the Ultrasone Pro 750's. The problem is there isn't a lot of information/reviews on them. I listen to happy...- tj28

Denon D2000 & Black Friday
Quote: I don't have any amps right now, but I could get one sometime in the near future, I was looking at the fiio e10. The cans will be used on my desktop mostly, and i have a custom-built PC with a decent integrated sound card (Via HD) so it was never really a priority for me. But yeah...- tj28

Denon D2000 & Black Friday
My current situation: I have a pair of M50's that are a bit broken (the plug no longer works, and I lost the plug I bought. lol) so in the meantime I've been barrowing Beyer DT770's, but the owner is now taking them back occasionally now. Most of my music is electronic, so I need bass...- tj28

ATH-M50 recabe
I received a pair of AT ATH-M50's awhile back, recently the left driver went in and out. (I had to wiggle the wire at the plug in to fix it when it went out) After playing with it enough the left driver went completely out. So, I decided to recable it, I am going to shorten it plus...- tj28
