My opinion on jitter is that it is not an issue with modern DACs and supported by my link. I did not say that jitter does not exist. As for an OS. I believe there is zero audio difference is audio quality when you are running WASAPI or ASIO bit perfect to the DAC. Same with your audio player...

JItter is not an issue in modern DACs unless there is a design flaw in the hardware. It is just not a problem these days.

There is no audio inside the computer/OS, just bits. As long as the "bits" get to the DAC without jitter errors, then there will be zero audio differences. And most modern DAC's don't have issues with jitter and using ASIO or WASAPI bypass the Windows audio path and will send the data bit...

I am not a pro at this, but from what I read, most audio equipment can't resolve greater than 20bit and usually max around 18bit. So the extra resolution is lost on the amp/headphone/speaker. Kinda like having a poor resolving lens on a 50MP camera sensor.

My Grado SR-80i's and M50X's. I will always try and own headphones priced higher, but those two will always be around.

I had issues with a scratchy pot for a little while and now it is dead silent. For me at least, it seems just using it clears it up.

I use JRiver and Audirvana. I like the simplicity of Audirvana, and all the cool options available in JRiver and the ability to use VST plugins. For tagging I use Musicbrainz Picard, by far the best tagger I have found.

The Sonos is a single speaker that is made for streaming things like Spotify etc, the a2e+ is a powered speaker system. These are completely different products. Not even sure how the Sonos could be used for any type of gaming.
