:sunrise: CanJam SoCal 2016 (March 19-20, 2016)
CanJam SoCal was great last year, looking forward to this year as well! I'd like to see if I can sell some of my stuff at the show, what's a good place to connect with B/S/T users who are going to the event?- slain72

Optimizing Audio Quality
You're at a pretty good place, to be honest. All of your individual parts are good. I don't know the HE-500s very well, but the Magni supplies a lot of power, so it's probably a good pairing with the HE-500s. Audiophilia is a hobby of spending money with diminishing returns. It's going to cost...- slain72

Schiit Magni Headphone Amplifier
Quote: I have a set of DT990 Pro 250 ohm that I used to use with a uDac-2. People always said the DT990s were super bright, but I had no idea what they were talking about because they sounded only slightly bright. When I switched to Modi/Magni, I noticed that first, the headphones became...- slain72

Schiit Magni Headphone Amplifier
I bought a Magni/Modi approximately a month ago. At first, I was happy with it because it was a big upgrade over uDac-2 for my HD600 and DT990s. However, over time I noticed a significant channel imbalance in my setup. I don't know if I just have terrible ears and didn't notice it at first or if...- slain72

Looking for some open headphones under/around 100$
Quote: Good point, I missed that. OP, is there a reason you looking specifically for an open headphone? As far as I know, open headphones usually tend to have better soundstage where closed headphones tend to have better bass, but really, it comes down to the specific models you're...- slain72

The Audio Technica ATH-M50 is around your price range and is supposed to be a pretty good value. I see it recommended a lot around here. I may be mistaken, but I think it has some emphasis on bass, so it might be right up your alley.- slain72

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
Quote: This is probably a good idea because I'm not sure how much open cans would bother people at work, but if there's a particularly good value for a certain set of open cans, I'd love to hear about it. USB DAC is required, but separate DAC and amp wouldn't necessarily be a problem. ...- slain72

Hello all! I am new to the world of expensive audio equipment and was hoping for some advice on new equipment. I currently have a set of MDR-V6s with beyer velour pads and a uDAC-2. The sound seems pretty good to me, but I'm no expert. I like listening to music at work because I'm at a...- slain72
