Hi, Grado phones seem to be highly recommended on this board but the prices mentioned seem to be a lot lower than what they are sold at in Europe. e.g best London prices I can find are - SR60=$135, SR80=$165. On the other hand Sennheiser's seem to be cheaper than US prices- HD495=$45...

Hi, My HD495's seem to sound much better with the foam earpads removed but they are rather uncomfortable to use like this for long - has anyone else tried this and found the same? Any way to make them more comfortable or any other mods worth doing with these phones? David

Hi, Just bought some HD495 phones a few days ago as they were only £30. First impressions are not very positive-they seem to distort as soon as volume is put up to a reasonable level. I have to turn the bass down on my amp to avoid this. Not sure if they just need more breaking in or if...
