AudioMinor cable issues (split from High-end cable thread)

What's surprising to me is the total silence of Boğaç Tekman (Audiominor) about this issue. He clearly reads the threads and not a single word about the issue. No acknowledgement, no apology, nothing...

    Shozy Zero IEMs

Not quite. Central Limit Theorem implies that the more the components, the higher the chance that the differences caused by individual device tolerances and variances will cancel out. ;)

    NEW 2015 - HIFIMAN HE400S

Are they planar magnetic, or dynamic the HE-300?

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)

Both are decent. But then again, both are inferior to high quality open headphones.   Honestly, I just cannot describe the soundstage like some as "sound stage is oval, not too deep forward, but wide on the sides" etc. What you can get out of me a singe value in coarse resolution, like "Nope...

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)

Very difficult to compare. One is an open IEM, the other is a full size closed headphone. I don't think anybody would confuse the sound of an IEM with the sound of a full sized earphone. If I try, I'd say that I enjoy the frequency response of the FX850 better. Less treble energy. Bass quality...

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)

When I tried the FX850, it sounded so good that I initially thought I wasted $$$ on the TH900's. Then I went ahead and compared them on after the other. Well, there's no comparison. At that price and size difference, I don't expect to. TH900's are a "whole 'nother level". Nevertheless, FX850...

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)

I like them a lot. All the detail and enjoyment is there without too much emphasis on treble. I don't mean that the treble is recessed, unlike the LCD-2's. Bass is phenomenal. Deep, textured. Way ahead of even T-Peos H300 IMHO, not in quantity (about equal) but in texture and detail.

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)

It arrived today. Weird huh? It was held in customs for over a week... Anyhow, I still think it was worth the $90+ difference from Amazon.

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)

Well, at this point it's $285 (CD Japan) vs. $375 (sold by Amazon). The difference is enough to make you think.

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)

Got the tracking number just an hour ago. Weird. It appears that you have to be patient, and willing to give it all up, in order to deserve the FX850, cheaply that is. :)

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)

Nothing yet. Asked them to cancel the order if not shipped in two days. Customer service keeps saying "We still haven't received any response from the online shop you requested us to order it from." I don't understand this. I just ordered it from their website. I didn't request them to do...

Kennerton ODIN, MAGISTER, VALI, Magni, Gjallarhorn, Rögnir, Thridi, Wodan, Thekk, and Thror Discussion.

I don't think the magister is planar magnetic though. It's dynamic no?

Titanium coated Mylar, actually, to increase rigidity I guess. A common method used by other companies as well.

Did any one order from CDJapan? It's been more than a week and still nothing... I e-mailed them yesterday, still no replies. They're supposed to ship EMS.

Stock grayish tips work great for me. H300 comes with more options, but I still prefer one piece basic silicon tips.

T-PEOS H-300 - 3 Way Hybrid Impressions and Appreciation Thread

Sunggoo kindly accepted my request to return the Altone 200's, and pay the difference to upgrade to the H300. I must say that it was definitely worth it. There's a significant difference in bass response between the H300 and Altones. Altone's are certainly great IEM's, especially given the...

    T-PEOS Altone200 - 3 - Way - Hybrid Discussion Thread.

I am starting to realize that. Something's off, or perhaps, not as I am used to. Nevertheless, H300 are extremely capable and impressive IEM's for sure. Whenever I switch to my other IEM's, they sound broken. My IE80's sound like free airline earbuds after trying these, no joke. After a while...

    T-PEOS Altone200 - 3 - Way - Hybrid Discussion Thread.

Exactly. I listen to TH900's mostly, and despite their many weaknesses, they pretty much set the standard as far as bass goes. Even some select dynamic IEM's have pretty decent bass response, particularly the high end offerings from JVC and Panasonic. I don't think Altone's can compete with...

    T-PEOS Altone200 - 3 - Way - Hybrid Discussion Thread.

I sent back the Altones and upgraded to the H300, just received them today.      I can't be happier. I totally agree with DMax99:   Quote:   Actually, I think the bass quantity should be somewhere in between the Altones and H300. H300 can be a tad too powerful. Nothing boomy or...

Shipping Altones express to Korea costs close to $50... Kinda defeats the purpose.
