Stax never transported me to the venue. It was like I was observing...CRBN I was there.

CRBN is the best headphone I've ever heard. Period (Yes, I've had Stax 9000 as well). I've put up mine for sale because I'm liquidating my entire system, otherwise that would be the only headphone I would keep.

The wait is over! Highly anticipated state of the art Stax SR-X9000 in mint, like new condition, with maybe 10 hours on it. Shipping within lower 48 is on me, as well as any Paypal fees. Why wait for months and months, this end game headphone can be yours within days. Otherwise be prepared to...

I guess I have new metal bands to discover lol...anyway, Stax 9000 is a bit softer and CRBN has a bit more midbass too so I feel like CRBN is better suited to that genre.

What kind of metal? Thin sounding like Darkthrone, meatier and bassier like Dimmu Borgir, or just your regular hard rock that's being called metal by a lot of people? Also what do you go for when listening to rock?

Right now I have both CRBN and St 9000 at home, so if someone has some specific questions about comparisons, shoot away, because I won't make detailed review on both. Likely one of them will have to go soon in order to simplify system.

What is exactly is sub-bass exactly? What's below the bass? Is there anything above treble?

Something to mention again is when cable is unplugged and the ending is touched, it releases the built up charge, so when headphones are getting too "gassy", maybe try that to help the situation.

Volume levels of source and dacs...they can make a difference.
