After having these on all day, I really like the sound of these IEMs. The only flaw I see with this model is the damn memory wire, it's more in the way than being helpful. Can anyone recommend me an alternate cable with the same or better quality cable without this annoyance?

After fiddlin around with the ear tip sizes I found my fit (small). They sound great out of the box, though I fully understand how fit matters with these. At first I thought they sounded "meh" but after swapping to small they're perfect.

Got everything running with the RE868 and latest 130110 build. Runs great and loving the fact I can listen to my library without needing to convert everything to ALAC. Didn't need to do anything extra with Windows 8 either.

Was able to win in an auction for these phones for $341 shipped brand new and sealed. I know how risky buying from such places can be with electronics, as I almost got ripped off with ie80 fakes.   Here's some pics. Seems legit?    

How long is the installation process typically?   Is there a video format of instructions?     I mostly want to use RB for FLAC & TTA files which is majority of what my library is made of.   are there any compatibility issues with this process with Windows 8 x64?

Just as a precaution I will buy some deoxit for these IEMs when I switch out the cable to the audio only one.   Does it  matter which one I buy? If so which one?

After losing my RE 262s I will buy these next Wednesday. I currently own a Sansa clip zip, iPod Classic, and an E11 that was used to drive the 262 pair.   Looking at the specs I can assume these won't need the E11 at all to sound it's best?

Cat got ahold of my 262 and chewed on the wire badly, just got an FiiO E11 for it this past friday. :(   How is the RE400 in comparison to the 262 if I can't find a brand new replacement? Here's hoping crutchfield or AA doesn't sell out of their remaining supply for the 262 by next weekend.

I'm not used to IEMs beyond the cheapo ipod earbud & sub $20 tier kind.   How are these IEMs for cycling? I would prefer IEMs that will stand well against wind.
