Quote: Quote: Ok, so I guess I need to make a visit to a HiFi store and see if an amp reduces the noise. No, my power adapter is not connected to my iPad while listening. The iPad should pretty much be the same as the Touch, yes. Personally I find the background noise...- davidplmlsn

Earsonics EM4
Heret, I will shoot some pictures later today. On a side note; I get a lot of background noise (hiss) when playing music through my PC and iPad 2. I assume the source is the issue since the EM4's don't produce background noise on it's own and since all my music is lossless. I don't...- davidplmlsn

Oh, one last thing. The way the ear monitors fits in the ears is nothing short of amazing. The IEM4's isolate sound just as well as my 200$ ear muffs and are at the same time way more comfortable to wear.- davidplmlsn

I am not really the right person to ask with respect to how well the ear monitors perform as I have no experience with anything other than low-budget sound. I went from Beats By Dre IEMs to the EM4's. Obviously an enormous leap in sound quality As you can see I have simply...- davidplmlsn

Nemo, I am located in Denmark and I don't know anyone who own a WES in Denmark (if any at all). I am going to audition the STAX 007 earphones and amplifier one of the upcomming days but I simply wont be able to audition the BHSE or the WES. Quote:- davidplmlsn

Ok, done a little research. As I can see FLAC is usually just CD's ripped without lose. Most people on this forum say they can't hear the difference between FLAC and 320kbps. According to HDtracks a CD is supposed to be 1400kbps. If that is the case then I presume that I want...- davidplmlsn

I have looked both on the WES and the BHSE. The BHSE have a way to long delivery time. From what I have read, some people like the WES better than the BHSE and vice verca.......- davidplmlsn

By the way, do FLAC equal 24/192? And is it possible to RIP CD's in 24/192 quality or are CD's limited to 16/96?- davidplmlsn

Thanks. If that is the case, I will stick with the USB input. So my system will look like this: PC (iPad 2 as remote control) -> W4S DAC2 -> WOO WES -> STAX SR-007MK2 Would this system be "optimal" for a guy who listens to everything from John Williams to Michael Jackson to...- davidplmlsn

I would love to buy a nice speaker system but reality is that I live in my mothers basement. So I do not have the space nor the oppertunity to play loud music. I don't want to spend money on upgrading hence why I will buy the best from the beginning at. The reason why I have decided...- davidplmlsn

Quote: Thanks for letting me know. As you can see in one of my previous posts, I have already decided to go with the WOO WES. If you think the Hegel HD20 is a poor choice, then I will buy the Wyred 4 Sound DAC-2 instead. The Wavelength and and QB-9 are way to expensive. ...- davidplmlsn

I found a very nice way to deliver music from my laptop to a DAC with coaxial cables: http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/m2tech/hiface.html- davidplmlsn

Ok, so what do you guys think about the following setup? PC -> Hegel HD20 -> WOO WES -> SR-007 MK2. According to Hegel the HD20 is supposed to rebuild the audio from the source so I presume that the source (PC) won't be the bottle neck? Also, how do I connect the DAC to the PC...- davidplmlsn

Quote: Doug, in my case the 007 are affordables. My dealer sells the 007s including the 007t2 amp at a price of 5200USD. So that would represent my budget.- davidplmlsn

I am getting tired of listening to music using my Beats by Dre, so I have decided to make an upgrade. I want some of the best I can get my hands on (in an affordable price range) so I have looked on the Stax SR-007 MK2 earphones. Thing is, people say the SRM-007tII amp is not as good...- davidplmlsn
