Looking for Speaker recommendation for my Mac Pro - Not too much bass and no wider than 8cm, any ideas?

Hey everyone! I have what might read as a strange request, I work at my Mac all day and I like to listen to records from the 60s in iTunes while I do my stuff. I need some speakers with a Jack Port for my headphones, preferably a volume button and they should not be wider than 8cm, that's a...

Need small slot loading CD player, amp and speaker system?

Thank you! These do seem a little pricier than my budget though! :)

Need small slot loading CD player, amp and speaker system?

Hello, I live in a small studio apartment and the only place where I could put my gear would be on top of a low antique bookcase, so I need something small and discreet to fit on a 27cmx82cm surface, preferably slot loading for the CD receiver with either a classic black or silver design. (The...

Any recommendations for some really tough on ear headphones with a short cord?ui

I will be travelling all over the world pretty soon and so need some nice tough headphones, do you have any suggestions? My budget is 200 Euros max. As for requirements, not too much bass, I can't stand too much bass. Also I'd love to see metal/wood rather than plastic. :)   Thanks guys!

What's a tough and long lasting alternative to the iPod and the Zune?

Well my biggest concern is general toughness. I'd like to avoid too much glass (unless it's tough gorilla glass) and plastic. Metal would be good, lots of tough metal!

I need a tough metal case for CD storage and transportation - any advice on what brands are best?

I need a quality case for CD storage and transportation, preferably without any plastic elements as these get damaged very easily. I also don't want the kind where you put the CDs in plastic sleeves, I want to keep my CDs in their jewel cases.   Any advice? I once saw a DJ with one of these...

Within Temptation 'Faster' - Which version do you prefer, the acoustic live version or the studio version?

I think the voice is just haunting on the acoustic live version but it's not quite as clean and 'perfect' as the studio version which is very different. Let me know what you think! Most people I asked seem to prefer the studio version. Also, this is supposed to be Symphonic Metal, do you think...

What's a tough and long lasting alternative to the iPod and the Zune?

I don't take my music player with me when I do sports because anything on me would probably end up being broken.    I also don't think a touch screen is such a good idea, they break easily I think unless they're monkey glass or whatever it's called.

What's a tough and long lasting alternative to the iPod and the Zune?

Too large is not a problem as long as it's not too thick and fits in a pocket.

What's a tough and long lasting alternative to the iPod and the Zune?

Thank you. Any models in particular? I suppose touch screens are more fragile.

What's a tough and long lasting alternative to the iPod and the Zune?

Okay, iPods are annoying because you can't replace the battery and they are throwaways after a couple of years. Sure you can go to an apple store for that but last time they scratched by iPod doing it. Plus their customer service sucks, they wouldn't deal with frozen pixels etc... Zune is...

Hearing Impaired person needs a new sound system with less Bass!

Quote: Yes, that's what I mean! :D CD/Amp/Speakers, and I don't want any of the features such as USB port of internet connectivity or anything like that, don't need that. I just want something on which I can listen to all kinds of music, from rock to pop and from classical to opera. The...

Hearing Impaired person needs a new sound system with less Bass!

Quote: It's the JVC UX P5R which I am going to throw away in a few days.   I think it's time for me to move on the next level when it comes to music, I just want a good durable system but I'm such a newbie! Could anyone tell me what I need?

Hearing Impaired person needs a new sound system with less Bass!

Well on my Mac the sound is fine. Now I'd like to find a home sound system which will be pleasant to me.

Hearing Impaired person needs a new sound system with less Bass!

Okay, I recently started buying CDs again (Until now I mostly bought stuff on iTunes) because I realised you could actually get the hard copy cheaper as a CD if you knew where to look. Plus I like having backups. So loads of Ladytron CDs on their way.   Right now I have an old JVC system...

I tested the CX-300 II but it feels so weird...

In my other thread I explained about my hearing loss and soon after received a PM from someone suggesting I try these. They were cheap enough so I picked them up. I was surprised to have to put them inside the ear which I did. Then I put on some music and noticed two things: The bass is too...

HeadPhones for a Hearing Impaired Person? (Audiogram Included)

They are in the ears not outside. Not sure about specifics but at the time they were the best ones on the market (The sound was quite different from anything I had heard before too, I thought it was fake and 'boxed' but according to my doctor I was hearing the world as people really hear it for...

HeadPhones for a Hearing Impaired Person? (Audiogram Included)

Quote: Hello kwkarth and everyone, I use Intra Hearing Aids. When I use a phone or headphones I take them off because the sound just gets too weird otherwise. So far I have used Apple's Standard Earphones and found those to be the most neutral. I have several times tried entry level...

HeadPhones for a Hearing Impaired Person? (Audiogram Included)

Hello, I realize this is quite unusual. I have been hearing impaired since I was little. I love music and unfortunately most HeadPhones I have tried are just so awkward and horrible to me, especially since nowadays everyone wants Bass and I get dizzy from bassy headphones. And then I have the...
