Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings

Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
I am also very happy with my recent local warranty experience with Australian QP1R suppliers, Tivoli. Replaced my faulty QP1R unit that I purchased from them last Christmas in just three days! Even was nice enough to provide me with a scroll wheel skin which saves me the $50~ importing one from...- essencez

I am in the same boat, want a balanced source to pair with my SR-71B. Running it with M51 convinced me to find a balanced portable source! Seeing as I had to send my QP1R off for warranty I'll be trying out Lotoo Paw Gold and AK380cu tomorrow.- essencez

Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
I've recently sent it off for repairs, thankfully it was still under warranty. I'm guessing its a hardware issue as well seeing as the hard reset doesn't work, unless the software somehow blocks it from working...- essencez

Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
I have been having freezing/crash issues with my QP1R as well. It works fine as long as I don't touch any of the controls while its playing however after moderate playback (30min~) it would freeze the moment I send the first command after activating the screen (pause, next tract, turn off, etc)...- essencez

You can find it on Amazon.co.jp, however seller only ships to jp so you'll need a parcel forwarder if you are from outside Japan.- essencez

Questyle QP1
Blah just as I recovered from upgrade fever, QP2 gets announced. Seems perfectly timed as recently I've been using my QP1R LO with RSA's SR-71B, albeit single ended output as my balanced cables are coming in the next few weeks. Hoping source selection is implemented next firmware upgrade so...- essencez

Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
Plus is anti-gloss/glare, brilliant has something to do with better image quality none of which I need. I barley use the screen at all, the centre key to unlock function makes view-less operation slightly easier even without dedicated hardware playback buttons. Magic fills small scratches and...- essencez

Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
I found one on amazon.co.jp. Overlay magic's JPY 2,480 bundle contains a skin for the wheel & centre button as well, makes controlling the scroll wheel much better. Starting to use my QP1R with my old RSA P51 Mustang amp, the sweet mids seems to synergize well with my ciems. Might try ALO...- essencez

Multi switcher box
Yes but this box is made for sitting between amps and speakers/headphones where rca connectors are rarely used however it should still work fine. -
Multi switcher box
I looked long and hard for one was almost going to make my own but found the Beresford TC-7220 which was exactly what I was looking for. -

Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
Seems like my issue was a once off. No issues within the last day or so of use, I shall continue using the current latest firmware to see if anything arises. Is there anyway to disable the automatic changeover to lineout? As I prefer to keep a dust cap on the output that I will rarely use...- essencez

HifiMAN HE-6 Planar Magnetic Headphone
I've been running the same setup since the Job 225 first came out! The pairing is amazing! Only con is you'll need to run a pre or a DAC that can act as a pre. JOB did recently release an integrated version of the amp.- essencez

Spiral Ears SE5 Ultimate Discussion/ Impressions thread
I recently got these IEMs as well and let me say they are amazing! I had JH16s prior but these are just on another level. I am in the market for a cable upgrade as the right angled adapter causes a lot of unwanted friction with my player, any recommendations for sellers that cater to SE connectors?- essencez

Questyle QP1
Just upgraded from the original AK100 to the QP1R. Absolutely could not resist the Christmas special at my local hi-fi shop. Sadly I don't have anything to use it with at the moment as my last pair of CIEM broke. Planning to pair it with SE ultimates which should be arriving in the next few...- essencez

HifiMAN HE-6 Planar Magnetic Headphone
Been using my Mackie Blackjack Onyx usb mixer as the DAC+AMP and to my surprise it drives the HE-6 decently. Sometimes I just can't be bothered switching outputs from speakers to HE-6, maybe I should get a switch box...- essencez

NAD M51 Direct Digital DAC Impressions
I love how the M51 as a pre, remembers the volume it was originally on, saved me from blowing up my headphones if I played anything accidentally. Since the arrival of my JOB amp I have been enjoy two excellent pairings between JOB/LS50s and JOB/HE6s with M51 as DAC/pre.- essencez

HifiMAN HE-6 Planar Magnetic Headphone
Hifiman has an excellent support team, one of my drivers had a slight buzz at certain frequencies which they (Hifiman) replaced hastily after providing the receipt. This bypasses the retailer which saves time it takes to get it sent back. Imo the HE6 leaks enough so that you don't have to...- essencez
