Westone Elite Series or Ultimate Ears Pro Recommendations

Thank you, that was very informative. I just order the V3 from 1964.

Westone Elite Series or Ultimate Ears Pro Recommendations

I probably should have explained that I have an Allen & Heath QU-16 for live band mixing and also home demoing. That's really the limit of my mixing purposes. After-sales service is definitely a big thing. Dealing with EarSonics has not been a cakewalk to say the least. Of course reliability...

Westone Elite Series or Ultimate Ears Pro Recommendations

Unfortunately my EarSonics SM3s just wonked out after less than two years of careful use. I've narrowed down my next IEM to either the Westone Eilite Series or Ultimate Ears Pro models. My main use for these will be for drum performance and mixing purposes, so I prefer them to be as neutral as...

Good In Ears for Drummers with an NRR of at Least 25dB?

I have custom Westones that I use for gigging and such.

Good In Ears for Drummers with an NRR of at Least 25dB?

Thought that might come up.  The thing is I've had experience with multiple devices with NRR of 25dB and the rating has always seem accurate to me. Of course I'm most interested in hearing the opinions and experiences of those who use earbuds while drumming. Although I appreciate all the advice.

Good In Ears for Drummers with an NRR of at Least 25dB?

I'm looking for in ear headphones for playing along with music when I drum. They need a noise reduction rating of at least 25dB. The main priority is something that blocks out enough sound to keep the volume relatively low. Of course something that sounds halfway decent would be nice as...

    I'm bummed out :(

I tried on both my Grado 325i and my Sony MDR-V700 on all volumes and I could hear it no matter what. The thing is at 21kHz it's very sharp and almost painful, but it really dulls out at 22kHz so I'm probably only hearing feedback noise from the clip at that point rather than a pitch. Honestly...

New Headphones + A Few Questions

Quote:   Ermm, great cuz that will hardly be a problem considering I didn't even buy the Beats ... Not to mention if there's at very least one nice thing to say about the Pros, is that they're built like a tank.     -_- Reading comp ftw.

    I'm bummed out :(

I'm almost 26 and I could hear all the way up 22kHz. I've been a bit worried because I play a lot of drums, but only just purchased some Westone custom fit noise reducers. I used to go to a lot of loud rock concerts as well.      Edit: I wasn't using a dac or amp btw if that matters to...

Probably should have specified that I listened to everything through a tubed McIntosh in store.

New Headphones + A Few Questions

I've used a pair of Sony MDR-V700's for the past decade and they're quite literally hanging on for dear life. After at least a year of procrastination I decided it was time to go to the store and check out the selection for myself. Here's what they had to offer and my opinion based off the...
