I'm looking at the Stretch, and I'm trying to figure out how it connects to the other earcup? I know the cable is one-sided, but I dont see any wire running through the headband to the other driver. Anybody know?

I was unsure on exactly what I wanted, and I went partially just to listen to both. I liked the beyer sound (and the comfort oh my god) so much that I chose that despite the fact that they were more than double the grados I was looking at (sr80i).

I just tried them with my friends mini3, which has +5 gain, and, to my ears, they sounded a little worse amped than unamped. running from the amp, they feel a little veiled, the highs arent as sparkly and the bass isnt as impactful, the complete opposite of what i was expecting. I just bought the Beyerdynamic DT 770 32 ohm edition today from B&H, and I already love how comfortable they are and they sound really nice too. My question is exactly how much will they benefit from a portable amp? I'm not expecting REO-esque differences, but will it be worth dropping $60-120...

the reason I ask, is that I was watching a video on headphones from B&H, and the sales guy pronounced it grah-doh. but then again, he did say that they were some of the comfiest phones over long periods of time he has ever worn

I agree on the 668bs, I have them, and use them portably, mostly because I dont have another headphone, only IEMs...I'm interested to see your opinion on them. If you lived on the east coast, and I wasnt so busy with school, I'd have no problem lending them to you to review...

It might depend on how many watts your guitar amp is...what kind and wattage?

  dba-02s don't have a removable cable, and build quality is not all that fantastic...good enough for me, and the DIY style cable is relatively high quality, but not up to what op is talking about...
