Hi everyone,   I need some help deciding on some speakers to get for my dorm.  I have a budget limit of $150 incl. shipping and after doing some research could get either one of these systems for around that price.  I would only be plugging these into my laptop (school-provided HP Elitebook)...

Hi everyone, still a noob here, but doing my best to research and learn.   I've looked through Audioengine, Mackie, Krk, M-audio, and everything and just need a pair of speakers (monitors?) that would do great for 80% music, 10% movies, and 10% gaming.    I just have a generic laptop...

|joker|,   Thank you for your reply about the CK7's   What set of double (or triple) flange-tips would work with the Phiaton 210's?  You mention in your review that the poor isolation almost makes a flange purchase necessary.  I shop on Amazon 99% of the time if that helps.

|joker|, do you / could you do a comparison utilizing the Audio Technica ATH-CK-7 in the $50-100 category?  I'm having trouble deciding what I want in that category, especially since I'm spoiled with my M50 cans from A-T.   Thanks. 

Does anybody have more input?  Is there a way to compare all earphones under $100?  It was under my impression that these two were tops in the sub $100 category.  If nobody has the time to explain, could you at least point me to the right direction?   Thank you,   -M

Thanks kmhaynes for the reply.  So the S4 just kinda trumps the A-T then?  Is it from the fact that the A-T usually needs a new ear-tip flange thing in order to get the correct seal?   Also, if there's another earphone that is better for the money, I'd like to hear about it as well.    ...
