Don't you find that the majority of anime tracks are super bright, ie not fitting for hd800's unless you've got some crazy gear that can offset/roll off the treble. Good thing i don't tend to listen to them else it'll be like needles in ears.

Friend brought these over the other day, these cans are truely subwoofer in ear and also needles in ear.

Man such a blast listening to movie scores on the 800's, takes u straight to cloud nine. Currently listening to Last Samurai, what a blast it is.  

2 weeks ago I went on a holiday taking with me UE 10 triple fi, thought that they were pretty good. Currently after touching down and back home, slapping on the hd800's and realizing how bad the UE10's sound.

Holy ****, these cans are orgasmic for live music, stagedac > concerto > hd800. insane!!

HD800's from Jan checked in today....80% of my music checked out as well as my 990's (will always remember u buddy).   First impressions, really comfortable, sounds amazingly very hard to describe, it's love, yep love. Totally lovin it.

Caved yesterday and purchased the 800's from Jan, hopefully they will be lightyears ahead of my 990's.  

My bro has a auzentech forte and i have external dac/amp combo, he prefers using my dac/amp instead of his sound card.

Got the stagedac today, however i'm confused between the rca preamp output and the fixed output. Can someone explain in the simplest of terms what they do? Am planning to connect the DAC to the concerto amp.
