I own both headphones. Can someone recommend an amplifier for the two?

The Rs1i is my main pair of headphones and i like them a lot. Sometimes the narrow soundstage and the bright treble gives me a headache after about an hour of listening. I need a different flavor. Will these two do it for me?

Im using 12fk6 now. burning them in. i really like the he500

12ae6. may require more burn in. I only have a few hours on it.

So far the Rs1s are winning. IMO the he500 need a more powerful amp. The rs1s play louder and clearer out of my tube hybrid. I thought they wouldnt need the amp requirements of the He6 but they do need more power.

Yes the Lyr is a powerful amp. I didnt know it was a hybrid. Thanks for the info.  

sound has opened up after a few hour and the bass has tightened. I may need a more poweful amp. Will the Little Dot +I be an upgrade? I like tube hybrids.  

I do like the rsi. the comment i made was a reply to the previous post. Anyway the he500s arrived last nite. they are heavy but comfortable and they seem sturdy and well made. The sound is a little coarse out the box but i know they require sufficient burn in and more power. i have to turn...

i just purchased the He500 by Hifiman. Coming from the Rs1 how much of an upgrade should i expect?

Is a discounted He6 a good buy compared to the He500 regardles of the amping issues?

I'm thinking of buying a new set in the next week or so and these are the two i'm iterested in. Is the he-500 noticeably better than the he-5le that it warrants a 200 dollar bump in price.

Only Grado can do Grado and if you want to keep that sound signature find yourself an Rs1. used they can be found around 400 bucks. the Rs1 is the only Grado i can wear for extended periods without getting a headache.  

I didnt expect these headphones to sound this good. Especially considering the price.

I heard sound sig dont change very much with burn in. HE-500?

I want to purchase the Lcd-2 but im concerned about the laid back treble response. Is this something to worry about?

Bought mine new open box at 535.00. Very detailed and fun to listen to. And a lot less fatiguing than the sr models.

I was a little skeptical at first considering the price but after proper amping and suffficient burn in these are some really sweet sounding headphones. They even sound great hooked up to my laptop.

I hear more distortion and the bass is loose. I like the sound signature but its not cohesive and it lacks weight.
