Above & Beyond, FiiO 2019 Spring Launch Event, March 16, Music Player, Amplifier, Earphones, Accessories

You can still use iTunes to organize your music and then export playlists from iTunes and import them into the M11. This can be done manually or with the help of an app such as Dapper. I've never used it since I decided to go with a Q5 and iPhone, but it lists several FiiO DAPs as...

Looks like they're still available on Taobao. I might try getting one from there.

I stand corrected! And to add to this, the about page on the iPhone only appears when Q5 is connected via UBS-lightning.

I haven't tried updating the Bluetooth firmware, but I was able to update the System firmware using a VM in Parallels.

Only way to do it on a Mac is to run a Windows Virtual Machine. You can only do it on a Windows PC.

Haha, I know. Asking them about e-packet which would be cheaper, for shipping at least.

Thanks for the recommendation! I just checked their AliExpress store, but shipping cost (CAD ~$35) more than the cable (CAD ~$21). I'll send them an email and see if they can ship it with something other than DHL.

Does anyone know if FiiO sells the lightning to micro USB cable on its own?

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

Weird... Worked for me when I tried it on both Android (OnePlus One running Lineage OS 15) and iOS (iPhone XS Max running 12.1.2)

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

I think it has to do with how you pair the AP80 to your phone... I think you have to find the AP80 on the phone and pair from there (it might be the other way around)... I got it to work at one point, but have since turned it off because as soon as it started working, it wanted to act as a BT...

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

So I booted up a Windows XP VM and installed a ex-fat driver and lo and behold... the directory is there... put in a playlist and the AP80 is able to load it! This is so weird because macOS still can't see the directory, not even when I look for hidden files. Wonder what's going on here... In...

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

Yes. I even tried reformating the card and resetting the AP80 back to factory settings... The AP80 sees the playlist it's saved in "TF:/playlist_data", but the directory and, as a result, the playlist file doesn't show up in macOS when the AP80 is plugged in as a mass storage device or when I...

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

The problem I'm having here is that I can see the playlist in the Files Menu, but there's no directory on the SD card? And when create the directory myself and put m3u files in it, the AP80 can see and load them but show 0 songs on the list... so I'm not sure if this is all an issue of macOS...

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

Thanks for the example! I created the directory myself. The problem I have is, even when create a playlist on the AP80 and then save it, it doesn't create the directory and corresponding m3u file. Is there something I'm missing? This is my first non-iPod/iOS DAP in years, so I have some...

Any chance you can post an example of a playlist you imported? I can't seem to get mine to work.

I don't think it's just you. Certain buttons/menus are less responsive on my screen as well. I hope it's just a software/firmware mapping issue since not every screen is affected.

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

When I use 2 fingers it usually works fine, but that's not really practical when the device is in my jacket/pant pocket. I wish the dial was more secure. The rest of the unit's build quality is quite good though.

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

Does anyone else have issues with a wobbly volume dial/button? Mine has so much play that it most of my volume adjustments (dial turning) register as button presses so the screen just turns on and off rather than changing the volume.

Unless the cable is marked, then you'll have to use trial and error.

    OnePlus One

Hmm... I have V4A and was able to update to 05Q, initially it failed (probably a side effect of having rooted the OPO). I found this thread and followed the "instructions" and was able to update: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/fix-assert-failed-errors-when-flashing-cm-11s-05q-in-twrp.265865/

The FiiO E10K--all-new DAC and amp stages

When you use those cables with other devices, are they recognized by the computer? Some USB cables are designed for "charging" only, the data pins are not connect, they only provide power. That may be why the E10k powers up but isn't recognized by the computer.
