    VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread

Quote: Agreed about not making it a chore. I just listen to the music and enjoy them. When I'm sleeping, I simply run music through them throughout the night. That's at least eight hours of burn-in every night -- not too bad.

I'm about 50 hours in now, and the sound is evolving beautifully. It's a really great sounding IEM, and the sound is still improving. The largest change in sound has been occurring in the treble -- it's getting much smoother and more detailed as the hours go on, and it's becoming less sibilant...

Quote: I bought my GR07 on Amazon.com through the seller GateShop, as suggested by another member of this forum. So far, no complaints. Shipping was fast and the package included all specified accessories.

Quote: I'm believing you about the burning in. I let them play overnight for 8 hours or so, and listened to them this morning. Quite a noticable difference in sound. The treble is much more detailed now and not nearly as congested. The bass is about the same, as is the midrange...

    VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread

I just received my GR07 in the mail today and listened to the first few songs. They're obviously not burned in, so I wasn't expecting much. I think they sound good, and seem pretty neutral. The detail is excellent. The treble is bothersome...not really with sibilance, but rather it just sounds...

    VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread

Well, after many nights of no sleep, wondering, "What if the Yamaha EPH-100 is a better unit for me . . .," I said screw it (the EPH-100 not being available on Amazon helped with my decision). I just ordered the Vsonic GR07, finally. If I don't like them, it's not the end of the world. I'm sure...

Thank you both very much for your time. The GR07 is being sold on Amazon from a seller named FireBall -- has nearly a 100% positive feedback score through over 4500 ratings. I don't know if they're authorized, however... are there many fakes floating around of these 'phones? Any...

One more question about the GR07:   Since I will be using these earphones mostly while studying at the library, I will be listening to somewhat softer music (with a bit of rock thrown in). Dark jazz (Bohren), some darker electronic (songs like Melankoli by Lulu Rouge, for example), some...

Quote: This is pretty interesting to take note of, for when I do decide to buy another player in the distant future (still no players with 128 GB flash memory!). Do other Cowon players share the same lack of synergy between their audio chips and the GR07?

Hmm! Two conflicting opinions!   As for funds to buy a new DAP, absolutely cannot afford it right now. Funds to buy an amp...well, I would much rather save my money and not spend it on an amp, even if it is cheap compared to my desktop variant. I'd say, at most, I'd spend $30. I'm a tightwad...

Quote: See, that's what I'm worried about. My only sources are either an iPod Touch (3rd gen, I believe - curved back, retina display) or my Motorola Droid RAZR. I am really not wanting to purchase an amp, since funds are limited due to college books and tuition. Will the headphone out of...

    VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread

I'm considering purchasing the GR07, but I have some concerns.   First, they will be my primary portable unit, and as such I do not want to purchase an amp to use along with it. My portable player is an iPod Touch (3rd gen, I believe...the one with the rounded back casing form factor and...

    Vsonic GR07 MK 2 - Authorized dealer?

I am aiming to buy the Vsonic GR07 MK2 earphones for myself, but I'm having a bit of trouble finding any information on who the authorized dealers are. From my reading, I know Lendmeurears is an authorized dealer, but every time I check their site and ebay page, the GR07 isn't in stock.  ...

Good headphones for a person who wears glasses, under $50.

Thank you for the suggestions, folks; I appreciate it.   I may be buying a pair of Superlux 681 'phones off my brother in law for about $15... he wears glasses as well and says they're comfortable. I listened to them and the sound they produce is definitely acceptable for the price!

Tangster, she has pretty thin frames, but I don't know the brand.   With my current line-up of Sennheisers (650/280), my glasses-wearing fiancee hasn't complained about them being uncomfortable. She has complained about the lack of a seal with the 280 model, however. I wonder if the lower...

Good headphones for a person who wears glasses, under $50.

I am looking to buy a pair of headphones for my sister when I visit her in a few weeks. I recently learned that the only method available to her to listen to music is through her laptop speakers. She absolutely loves music (flute performance major), so I know she'd love something with higher...
