When you use the app in conjunction with the HA-P50 you actually don't need an unlock key. At least that is how it works on my phone. Downside is that you can't listen to the music in the app when the HA-P50 is not connected...

I use both the Hunt EDA brush and the Discwasher D4. Both are quite durable, I use them over 10 years now. The D4 has much better cleaning action, but you do need to do it wet & dry. I use the Hunt brush if I just want to do a quick-clean.  

I'm using an IE-8 from Sennheiser as an alternative for my Etymotic HF-3 for exactly that reason. The Sennheisers offer more bass, have a bit more lively mids and get close to the detail and openess of the Etys in the HF.   Its a shame that the tips are not compatible though...
