    Fake q-jays??

Quote: Keep checking, she was out for awhile, and then got more, so you never know. At this price, they're worth waiting for!

    Fake q-jays??

Just got these, and WOW!! No doubt they are 100% genuine. I knew they were going to be small, but seriously, the size of these things is ridiculous, I never would have thought that such an amazing sound could come out of such a small package. For $80, these things are nothing short of...

    Fake q-jays??

Quote:   You're very welcome, I would have felt horrible if you guys had bought them, and they turned out to fakes, glad everyone's happy :) I ordered mine on the 18th, and nothing, getting impatient, can't wait to try these!! Btw, they are now going for $100, even thought seller might...

    Fake q-jays??

I found a store on ebay that is selling the q jays for very cheap. I usually subscribe to the "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is' philosophy, but I haven't come across anything mentioning fake q-jays. Does anyone know if there are fakes out there? Thanks!

Which portable music player should I buy?

Quote: The user interface on the s:flo 2 is horrible, even though the sound is awesome. For the best all around package, your best bet is a cowon, I'd go for the j3 mainly for the expandable memory.

Dive in straight to the good stuff, or test the waters a bit before buying?

So, I've been looking around various threads, and see that a lot of people, including me at first I admit, want to go straight from the stock buds they get with their mp3 players to expensive, audiophile-inclined iems. It seems to me that this is a bit of a waste. Isn't it better to try and tune...

    New Budget Headphones (Sub $40)

The brainwavz are extremely comfortable, problem is that they are most comfortable with foam tips that are no longer included. If you can add $10, I recommend the pl-50s, sound great, isolation is good, and they are still supplied with the foam tips which make them some of the most...

Comfort of a PL-50, with a different, bassier sound signature

Quote: Do you like the way they sound for classical? Any other recommendations for classical, since I see you like listening to it?

Comfort of a PL-50, with a different, bassier sound signature

I was actually talking about the build quality of the customs, from what I've heard the phonaks are actually quite durable

Comfort of a PL-50, with a different, bassier sound signature

And now I found the PFE 012 for around the same price as the Custom 3s, which seem great, but their build quality scares me. Life was so much easier when I just picked up random pairs of headphones at the local electronics store!

Comfort of a PL-50, with a different, bassier sound signature

Thanks for your answer! My new idea is getting a pair of Custom 3s, and a pair of Eternas, for a combined price that is similar to that of the IE7. I feel I can't go too wrong, unless they are similar sounding, and owning the 2 is just redundant...

Comfort of a PL-50, with a different, bassier sound signature

Thanks for your reply! Btw, your multi review thread is amazing, hard to believe it's the work of just one man, unless you hire elves to work for you at night, which seeing the effort put into those reviews seems very plausible! Do you think the IE6/IE7 would be better than the Fischer...

Comfort of a PL-50, with a different, bassier sound signature

Hi all. I am fairly new to the headphone world, but am getting the hang of it, and enjoying discovering headphones' unique sounds. I currently have some brainwavz, and the pl-50s, but am ready for a new pair. I generally love the warmth of the pl-50s, and the comfort which is a big deal...

Good sub $100 IEMs that won't break!!!

I've tried countless pairs of headphones. Among my favorites were maximo 590, where the wire snagged right away, and especially soundmagic pl50, which were by far my favorite, but the piece that the tip is supposed to go over broke off after a few months! Now I am once again looking for a good...

Comfortable iems for less than $100

After spending years buying and replacing cheap headphones within a matter of months, I have decided to step it up a notch, and get a decent pair of iems. The main problem is that I have very sensitive ears, and can't stand having to push the phones in too deep to get a good seal, I had to...
