Right on....not to jack this thread, but im looking to buy the EX1000s (prices seem to have dropped quite a bit), and I listen primarily to lounge/house/electronica, and the occasional jazz/vocals etc. I guess my only concern is with the EX1000s not sounding "visceral" enough for house/trance...

Thanks guys, when I moved the voltage stub from 230 to 115V, the hum disappeared - guessing this is the input voltage so it would make sense since im in the US. There is another tab for 16V and 18V, im guessing this is the output voltage to the amp, i left it at 18V and it works fine...do most...
