For $150 on ebay, I still expect more info from them. I can't find any measurements of jitter on picoseconds or db, can anyone offer insight about its performance in a technical sense?   If I bought one, where would I send it to for measurement?

I want a gain of 8 or better for a particular pair of headphones while less gain for others, is it possible to use a volume knob for gain (for example, 1-8)?
