I was patiently waiting for reviews here for the XBA H3s, but UE900 here in the UK are silly cheap now (£169 delivered) direct from Ultimate Ears themselves so ended up going down that route. Rather than opt for the H3's which are getting very mixed reviews on here, I thought I'd save myself...

Very interested in these. Was looking at the AKG 3003s but didn't think they were worth anywhere near their asking price. These are bargain basement in comparison and if the SQ lives up to past Sony efforts, I may have found my next purchase. Still on the brink of selling some vintage stuff...

For those Head-Fiers over here in Europe, I'm about to order a pair of straight cabled facelifts from HERE :)   Price is STEEP compared to you US Head-Fiers (about $350), but not much we can do over here but save up some more :(

Make sure you have a decent seal on your headphones, with possibly looking into getting custom sleeves for your 535s.   This not only improves comfort, but improves the sound!

Go back and get proper molds done as JH can only work with what they receive.   In theory, your audiologists made the mistake so should get it re-done for you for free. I'd personally kick up a fuss if they didn't.   The last thing you want though is to have to send your JH16s back...

Sensaphonics should in theory take into account the outer ear part and create moulds that will push the main body of the earphone beyond that.   Just ensure you mention that to the audiologist when getting your molds so they take an impression of the inner ear canal AND the outer bit.  ...

Gloco,   Shure dont make the molds, although they may recommend someone to you.   If you're based in the UK - ACS are the ones to goto.   If the US - Might be best to trawl the internet for more info on Listenhear, 1964 Custom Sleeves and Sensaphonics. They all do custom sleeves...

Custom molds will help as they'll be molded around your ear and the 535s.   When you get them, you'll see that the molds will have an indentation for where the monitor sits snuggly.   This does obviously mean that it's not easy for you to use these moulds with any other headphones due to...
