FiiO LC-3.5BS-High-Purity Copper-Plated Silver MMCX Earphone Cable (45cm)
Will this be shipped from within the EU soon? For example, via the FiiO store on Amazon.co.uk? I'm asking because the import fees from China to Denmark will effectively double the price of the cable. -
I'm basically looking for an IEM equivalent of Ultrasone Pro 900
Hi! Happy new year fellas! I currently have an old pair of Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5 Extended Bass, and while I enjoy them a lot, I'm looking for something of higher fidelity for my next pair. I also own a pair of Ultrasone Pro 900, and I absolutely love these. They are not very portable...- JesperZ

Quote: Nah, really? What about Taco Bell and such chains, we don't have that here. Or at least not in Denmark. Quote: I would very much like to but I don't have much time in San Francisco so there's simply not time for such a long drive away from the route, unfortunately :(- JesperZ

Quote: Yeah that's alright. It's better that I've been presented to all the options than missing something that could be fun :) Regarding Mexican food in Europe, it's not like we have restaurant chains like you do in the US, but I think most Europeans eat Mexican food monthly or weekly...- JesperZ

Quote: That's a whole lot of suggestions! Thanks, they are all very appreciated. I have already booked all the hotel rooms so I can't go off course if it means I have to stay overnight somewhere else than planned. And yeah, I heard about old ruins in Arizona, but they were far to the...- JesperZ

US trip
Quote: Well I'm open to any suggestions. I'm already planning on visiting Rockefeller, Broadway, Alcatraz, Hearst Castle, Universal Studios, Hoover Dam, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and possibly some indoor shooting range in Las Vegas. But I'll mainly be there to experience new things...- JesperZ

US trip
I'll be going to the US this summer and I'm interested in visiting some audiophile stores. I assume there are some in the big cities :) Also, if you have anything else you can recommend (not audio related) please do so. I'll be flying to NYC, then flying to SF and driving from this point...- JesperZ

Ultrasone Fan Club! (Roll Call)
Quote: I guess it's a matter of preference then. I like feeling the audio when I'm gaming, not just hearing it. Nothing tops explosions on the Pro 900. And the K701 is just very bad at explosions, it's unfair to even compare the two. My X-Fi Titanium HD emulates the huge sound stage for...- JesperZ

I dont know if the HFI 2400 can in any way be compared to the Pro 900, but the Pro 900 is at least miles ahead of the K701 in terms of enjoyment and about the same in terms of competitiveness.- JesperZ

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
Quote: Yes you have to mod them by breaking one pair of your original Pro 900 ear pads and glue the Denon pads onto the socket of the Pro 900 pads, unfortunately. Fortunately though, it's very easy to do. And yeah they are kinda expensive, I think I paid $30 less for the J$ pads when I got...- JesperZ

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
Quote: Short answer: Yes. Long answer: I don't know if you've experienced this, but when I push the Pro 900 with stock pads against my ears the bass is enhanced (along with the rest of the spectrum and sound stage). J$ pads promotes this effect without you having to push them against...- JesperZ

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
Quote: Your Titanium HD has better amplification than the Zo2. Just leave the Zo2 out of the setup completely and boost the bass with your Titanium HD instead. Also, the bass will sound less bloated on the Pro 900 if you do it this way (The Zo is not a good match for the Pro 900s). ...- JesperZ

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
Quote: The bass impact is much greater, but what really makes a difference between the two is the quality of the bass. If you listen to electronic music it'll be like a whole other world. The mids are more pronounced and slightly more detailed. The highs are a like a whole other...- JesperZ

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
Quote: If fed properly, the Pro 900 has an amazing sound stage imo. It is much better than many not-as-hifi open headphones I've heard. It is a very good gaming headphone. The bass makes explosions sound realistic and if you got a proper gaming sound card the sound stage is huge...- JesperZ

Quote: 1. Let them burn in for at least 100 hours. 2. Get a proper amp. 3. Get J$ pads. 4. If using a PC, get a proper DAC or sound card and use it to boost the bass to your preference if possible. 5. Experiment with the placement on your ears. In my experience the bass is...- JesperZ

Quote: I don't need to. The only difference between the two is that 2900 is open and 900 is closed. Everything else is the same. So it's a matter of preference between open and closed sound characteristics.- JesperZ

I finally got to listen to an actual working Zo2 today, after having to send mine back for repair since it was broken on arrival. Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
I've had mine for 3/4 years now and I must admit I cannot say whether the Pro 900 has changed audio characteristics or if it's just me who've gotten used to it. Don't worry about the Pro 900 being inferior to HFI 780. It's an all-round upgrade, just some parts are better than others. Quote:- JesperZ
