Yep. The shape and construction are quite unique. [Just a note that there are quite nice looking Chinese replicas of these: https://www.tubesandmore.com/products/kt66-valve-art.]- Oskari

Or you could say that the Miniwatt-labeled ones are, in fact, GEC tubes.- Oskari

No difference. Mullard made those tubes. Philips owned Mullard. Philips ECG = Sylvania. Philips bought (the relevant part of) Sylvania and called it Philips ECG. Buyers must educate themselves.- Oskari

You could try calling it EL33 or EL3NG or 6M6G. :relaxed: https://www.radiomuseum.org/tubes/tube_el33.html- Oskari

On the WIRAG, it is the letter A that makes them WIRAG. The MS is the type code (EL3N) here. The Mullard has an older type of Mullard code. I cannot explain the MS-. This is still a Mullard only code.- Oskari

ECC31/ECC32/ECC33/ECC34/ECC35 Tube Addicts
See these for 1) my guess of the Mullard code, and 2) for the CV code: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/ecc33-ecc35-tube-addicts.558352/page-3#post-9020495 https://www.valvecollector.uk/cv-valves.htm- Oskari

Schiit Lyr Tube Rollers
That's the UK Tungsram brand, a Philips/Mullard brand, which at this point had no connection with Tungsram in Hungary. I can't read the codes but those were made by somebody with Philips machines, possibly Mullard.- Oskari

Well, I have my guess. :relaxed: I guess that Sweden probably was able to buy them during the war because they had things to trade and they traded with whomever they could. See: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_iron-ore_mining_during_World_War_II- Oskari

Yep, it's nonsense. Otherwise your external hard drive (etc.) wouldn't work. But not all rippers are created equal, especially with CDs in bad condition. Don't know about Windows Media.- Oskari

No, I don't think that they are Eindhoven tubes. Those are earlier Mullard-only codes. Don't read them as Philips codes like that. The 3A1 may be a 1953 tube and the 2F1 may be a 1952 tube but I'm not sure about that.- Oskari

I agree that they probably are French. Surely the Darios must be 1956 tubes with a YY.WW date. The other numbers are less clear…- Oskari
