burning flac files to CD
As others said...nope, you are not losing quality. But i like to say....you are losing time!!! Don't know which O.S. are you using. For Windows for example i use "burrrn" (you have it in free and portable version to give a try), and it does what you do but internally, saving your time. The...- fameh

Selecting a portable mediaplayer
Well, the look depends on your taste. The price of the Fuze is also smaller than the NanoG4. Other point is that you know you need to convert files to ALAC to be able to use lossless codec in the Nano. Thats a big advantage for me on the AMP3 or Sansas. As far as i readed, the Nano 4th...- fameh

How do I wire this type of jack?
That type of jack is a 1/8" TRS, which is the most common in portable mp3 players, for example. Maybe this can help you: TRS connector - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia There are the 2 stereo channels and another one for the ground. Don't know where are you located, but i would say the...- fameh

Should I get a CX300 II or RE2?
Hello, welcome to head-fi! I have the CX300s and they are good for electronica, which i listen too. Strong bass but poor on detail. Based on the reviews, RE2 are a bit weak of bass, so i suppose this is the reason because they are not excellent for electronica. But HeadDirect sells in their...- fameh

iBasso D2 - trouble listening through USB
^ +1 Set it as the default ouput soundcard of your computer. It will appear like "USB speaker" or so. When the Boa is disconnected, then your OS will use the other soundcard without alter anything. When connecting the Boa again...back to use it without any action required.- fameh

E3 or E5
^ +1 At 17,41$ @ Dealextreme...what do you expect for that price!!!! Battery life is not bad in the beginning. If you are a bit careful with the charging and discharging processes it can live perfectly a couple of years. At and that moment its worth money!- fameh

E3 or E5
No doubt, Fiio E5. I have both. E5 has bigger detail, soundstage and better bass quality, plus you can turn on or off the bass boost, as so as control the volume too. E3 uses a AAA battery, instead of E5 which charges via USB. Maybe this can be the only advantage of E3 over E5 depending the...- fameh

One Source-> 3 amplifiers... solutions?
As FallenAngel said, the best you can use are RCA splitters, like these (see example on bottom) Don't forget that a big part of the desktop amplifiers comes with a loop RCA output too, non touching the signal, so you can propagate it to another amp, being theorically the same that your DAC's...- fameh

Beyerdynamic DT770/250 ('05) = too heavy? = stiff neck?
Agree with chews89. I have DT990 '05, quite similar in form, and they are not heavy to be full sized headphones, the problem is indeed that you are used to other lighter headphones. In fact, the beyers are one of the most confortable big-sized headphones!- fameh

IEMs - 50 dollars
Surprised here nobody has mentioned something about the comply/foam tips for noise isolation. I can't make much comparisons about $50IEMs, as i only have used two on this price range, Sennheiser CX300 & Sony Fontopia In-ear. So...i won't make any recommendations refering to the IEMs. But if...- fameh
