Hey all! I built my first cmoy and it works quite well.   My question is though, before adding R5's I got a weird highly distorted output. It almost sounded like a video game. Once I added R5's the sound became much clearer. Is this an indicator that the distortion was noise or is my gain to high?

I'll definitely give it a shot :)   I actually rescued this system from a family member who had the speakers in poor condition, if you look at the bottom left you'll notice one of the polk's is missing a leg and a PBR bottle cap is holding it up instead. I'm actually thinking about rearranging...
