Rhines announced the Stage 5 on Facebook today!     https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=717580564928205&set=a.563977706955159.1073741828.561117580574505&type=1&theater   It's not the announcement I expected because I heard a new model with three drivers at their store not long ago. It's...

[Review] InEar Stage Diver 3 - An experience

The human ear is not a machine, meaning heard tones and loudness are not absolute. The human brain always compares in relation.   Even IF there is something like burn-in, the likelihood of not noticing it is extremely high, due to your brain adjusting and masking smallest details. This...

    Review: InEar StageDiver Series

The SD2 is warmer and has some more punch. Both are not very intimate and have a respectful distance to the listener, yet the SD2 has a more romantic presentation when it comes to closeness of voices. So SD2 has some thicker upper bass and lusher voices, which I personally prefer. Whereas...

Vision Ears and Rhines Custom Monitors (formerly Compact Monitors)

I mentioned this somewhere in the beginning of the thread, but Rhines had an unofficial demo pair of the Stage 4 that had a different tuning with more linear bass. (But the artwork still said Stage4.) It could be that this is an experiment from the old Compact Monitors era and that they also...

No idea why you are so bitter, but in case it wasn't clear, my point was that my customs sit perfectly and never lose their seal. The only time I can feel the in-ear inside my canal is when I yawn. That's why I recommended to keep the mouth closed (lips touch each other, not the teeth) because...

I know that biting on a stick is the 'normal' way of doing it, that's why I recommend to keep your mouth closed. At least if you use the customs for listening to music instead of screaming at the microphone.

I haven’t really shared my impressions yet, so I will do that now. My perspective is that of a hifi-enthusiast customer who loves music but also technology and product design. This is my first custom ever and thus I cannot compare with different companies. I can only share my personal...

    Review: InEar StageDiver Series

As you can see from my profile pic, after the StageDivers I also jumped to customs. (Not „after“ because I still have the SDs.) The StageDiver are a good cross-over.   However, I see things differently about „not going lower“. Because, TBH, the Sony MH1C (or similar) can uncover 99% of all...
