Sorry about the late reply. Yes, you are correct, that is a mistake in the schematic. I think it should be .47uF on both sides, ignore the mistaken 1uF.- trueserve

*Comparison and Review* Magni/Modi vs O2/ODAC
Quote: Really? I think the Stack is kind-of meh... farther away it looks pretty nice, but the LEDs are very bright. Up close, it's obvious that the chassis is just cheap painted steel. I have a JDS alu front panel and a blank alu front panel for the O2 - the JDS one has some poor...- trueserve

*Comparison and Review* Magni/Modi vs O2/ODAC
I use thick Velcro, specifically something like this http://www.velcro.com/Products/Ties-and-Straps/Ties/One-Wrap-Tie-Rolls.aspx I have a piece between the units, and a wrap around them. It's thick enough to basically be feet; keeps the O2 off the table and the ODAC from sliding on the O2. It...- trueserve

You don't need a fancy silver cable for these cheap cans. Just get one of the "Made for Mobile" cables on Monoprice, it's what I use for mine. Bonus is that they are cheap and if you are ordering a pair from Monoprice then it can be a part of that order. 6ft black...- trueserve

Alright, I haven't heard anything about anyone else trying this. Really wanted feedback first but don't want to keep waiting. I gave that pair posted above to my friend for Christmas but he is coming from some random Logitech headset...he says it sounds good but doesn't really have comparison...- trueserve

mod: Monoporice 8323
Nice =) I modded a pair as a gift - closed cell thin foam backing, upgraded cord and the v2.1 electrical mod - and hopefully the recipient doesn't read about it here. Interestingly they sound better than my older modded pair with all the same mods...highs are a bit better, clearer... Component...- trueserve

None of the material mods will fix the 3-5k issue with the highs. Still having some people test my passive circuit which does fix it. I recently got some SRH-440 and would have to say after my circuit mod that they're pretty close, with the Monoprice having better bass quality (440 has some...- trueserve

Installed and tested the latest version of the mod...sounds so good. 3-5k is as fixed as it can be I think and the 6k and 8k peaks are gone. Will publish schematics, simulation graphs, and parts lists once a couple of other testers come forward and give their thoughts.- trueserve

mod: Monoporice 8323
Wrote the whole post and the browser crashed as I hovered over Submit. Really. I should know better than to not use a text editor... So here's the short version: The 8323 is cheap. I have various cans in the "next tier", and the tier above that, and above that... dozens and dozens of pairs...- trueserve

mod: Monoporice 8323
I designed a 3-5khz freq fix circuit for 8323. Just installed today, testing for a couple hours now, and it's a HUGE improvement. It brings the recessed upper midrange and lower highs more into focus and balances the sound. Effect can be tuned/tweaked by changing one resistor. An effect of the...- trueserve
