Yamaha EPH-100
Hahaha no, it happens when it's silent too, it's my resting pulse. Shows you how good the isolation is! I'm still trying to adjust to the EPH-100, from the bass-heavy and warm ATH-CKS. Thank god I didn't end up going with the GR07, that would have sounded bright as heck to me- TalkingDeer

Yamaha EPH-100
Hmm thanks for the advice about the fit. I'll keep experimenting! I think most of my complaints are due to my coming from the ATH-CKS50, which is known to be quite bass-heavy. I'll give these a few more days of burn-in and listening and see what happens.- TalkingDeer

for example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAtGfJ5ZoDM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOLiEu7275E Skrillex - Kyoto ft. Sirah Klaypex - Lights (I listened to the FLAC ones of these two) Especially in the first one, they sound quite boosted, bright, and unrealistic to me. This...- TalkingDeer

very first impression - drums sound really weird on these. Cymbals sound very unrealistic and boosted... Does this change with more burn-in? Also it's still a bit of a struggle to fit them in even with the smallest tips- TalkingDeer

Yamaha EPH-100
Weellllll... I just pulled the trigger on the EPH-100. I figured that the GR07 couldn't be that much better than the EPH-100 for $40 more. The EPH-100 is going for 139 on amazon now, $10 cheaper than before. They should be here on Friday! I should have checked before ordering, but has anyone...- TalkingDeer

Yamaha EPH-100
apologies for my ignorance of audiophile vocabulary, but would you say that the EPH-100 isn't as flat or neutral as the GR07? While not ideal, I will also be using them for recording as well- TalkingDeer

IEM around $150 - how are these two?
Hi all, I'm looking to move up to new IEMs. I currently have an ATH-CKS50 that I bought in Japan. From reading threads here so far, it seems that two of the top choices for this price are the GR07 and Yamaha EPH-100. How do these compare in your opinion, and are there others that I...- TalkingDeer
