Need to repair my Fiio X5 (First Generation)

Hello everyone,   Long story short if you don't want to read. My X5 is out of warranty. Does anyone have any idea how much it would be for them to repair it, or does anyone know how to open it up because I don't see any screws to let me in.   I have a first generation Fiio X5 that I got a...

Samsung S4, Fiio E17 fluttering audio problem. Need suggestions. More of an Android question, but any suggestions are welcome.

TLDR part before hand.       Has anybody had any interference issues with this combination of phone/DAC, and any suggestions on how to fix a fluttering problem that I think is driver related.      And a little bit about a custom case that I am working on.        Hello. I just got an S4 a...

Anyone tried the 1964ears v6 or v6 stage eims?

Not a technical, or empirical, answer just what I have found in my digging.  I just ordered the V6 Stage yesterday, so that doesn't do you any good as far as a review. But in all my research on the 1964 ears more or less if bass is what you are primarily after the Quad's are the way to go. Long...

FiiO E6 - story of the tiny amp continues... (w/ review on 1st page)

I totally agree. The E6 runs my 250 Ohm Beyers, so it shouldn't have any problem with GR07s, so you don't "need" anything more. Depending on which Samsung phone you have (S3/S4), you might be able to run a DAC with it, and then you could think about the E17 as a DAC/Amp over the E12 Amp. I went...

FiiO E6 - story of the tiny amp continues... (w/ review on 1st page)

I've had mine for about a year now, and have had zero issues. I've never heard of any reliability issues, but since I didn't have any there was no reason for me to look into it. I have upgraded to an E17 for most of my use, but if I go somewhere and don't want to take the extra bulk (mountain...

    THE DIY HEADPHONE STAND THREAD

Quote: I've never felt the need to pony up for the Select stuff. But the standard Silver (grade) bottle is blue, and a really cool looking bottle too. Maybe for some special occasion I will go for the fancy schmansy stuff, because that is a pretty phenominal looking bottle. Sorry for the...

    THE DIY HEADPHONE STAND THREAD

Milagro is one of my favorites, and it is a beautiful color, and a perfect headphone shape. Hornitos might have a good shape too. Sadly with Corzo's weird shape it would never work. So I don't have an excuse to buy any :(

    THE DIY HEADPHONE STAND THREAD

The Brainwavz one will still be the primary stand. The new one is just for the others (have some DT-990's on the way, so I had to make a home for the backups before they get here. I can reach the Brainwavz one from my standard chair position, and the other one I have to roll the chair about a...

    THE DIY HEADPHONE STAND THREAD

Inspired by a gravity style wine rack. Bottles can be changed to suit your preference. I went with a tequila bottle that was cool enough that I felt the need to save it after I drank the contents. Was trying to make a $0 stand, and thought this was cool. I went with the distressed look (by went...

    Review by 'Swollen17' on item 'Audio-Technica ATH-M50S'

I'm new to this so take everything with a grain of salt, but I play guitar, and piano so I have a pretty good ear even though I don't know what I'm talking about I know what I like, and I like these alot. This was my first real set of good headphones. I had some $30 AKG plastic things that...
