the bass is pretty decent IMO and it can all be EQ'd to your liking if you find it lacking but as i said before see if you can try them. the foam pads may not be for everyone. thankfully if you get these and happen to find them uncomfortable you can pretty easily find comfortable replacement pads.

it could just be that you don't like the really colored sound sig of the tf10 the heightened bass and treble sometimes give it a WOW factor but some just find it displeasing

I think in that case the 598 will give you more flexibility for portable use and the 650 may sound like there is something missing with the E17. i think with your amp the 598 will be the better choice if you know for a fact that you will not be upgrading in the future.
