Regarding Dolby Atmos for Headphones/Windows Sonic for Headphone when should I "Turn on 7.1. Virtual Surround Sound."

Atmos is broken with my pc. Sound is like an 8th note gate,it gates videos too, have to turn it off. No problems with Windows Sonic. I spent 25 on Dolby Atmos for unworkable software, sigh.

ModMic (4.0) and external USB audio interface - how to get it to work?

I did an experiment and recorded the signal in Reaper this time I changed my sound cards output to unbalanced.   I talked into the modmic and the level was miniscule and unusable.   I have a phantom power switch on my little mixing desk and tried that.   Immediately the gain went up and I...

ModMic (4.0) and external USB audio interface - how to get it to work?

I did get more gain out of the mic by switching on phantom power funny enough but the hiss was through the roof.   I do have an Audio Technica lav mic that works much better but that hisses away also and because it's omni directional, picks up everything. I think the Audio Technica headset has...

ModMic (4.0) and external USB audio interface - how to get it to work?

I just got one of these and thought going from a female stereo mini plug into 2 rcas on a stereo channel would work but it's dead as a dodo.   Gutted.   Designed clearly for onboard sound.   May have to get the cash for some Beyers or similar with an xlr mic plug.   Modmic is useless.  ...

Turning DT-990 Pro into (gaming) headset

I was wondering what would be the best for my dt 990 pros as well but I need an xlr mic as I will be going into a mixing desk.   I think the Antlion mod mic is designed for gaming/motherboard sound card recording inputs.   I need a balanced/xlr mono input.   P.S. this looks a winner.  ...

"S" and "F" sound on DT 990 pro hurts my ear.. Don't know how to google this..

I can vouch that when listening to DT 990 Pros straight out of the box, they sound shrill as I just replaced my old 7 year old dt 990 pros with new ones and that famous shrill is back.   Give them time and they will sound fantastic.   Otherwise get the premium dt 880 premiums which have a...

    WORST headphone you ever heard?

The ones I have as spare while waiting for my Beyer dt 990 pros.   Plantronic(Tinpoo-ic)367's.   They are a gaming headset.   They sound like one too.

    The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread

Don't ship to Australia though.   Bugger. Cheapest price to Australia is 269 plus the 50 shipping fee.   I just bought dt 990 pros for 170 odd including the 30 dollar shipping.

I suppose you would not really need a car in Japan? Small country and high speed trains.

Car-insurance costs, registration, maintenance, fuel, parking, speeding fines.   I guess if you love your audio, the price is not that bad especially if it's THE BEST.   I'd feel guilty as hell buying it though.

    DT990 Pro Impressions Thread

I didn't feel my headphones falling off after 7 years of use with the pros.   They get better.   I like the rugged look of the pros.   The premiums of course are the better phones but I'd be too scared to scratch them.     Plus if I was going to buy them,I'd most likely get the 600 ohm...

They were thrown after a hissy fight one night. Lost audio in the left ear. Otherwise would be still fine now.

When, after a few years your dt 990 pros may die (mine lasted 7 years) then you can use them as ear muffs for the Winter. Just wondering if there are coloured ear muffs for these.

http://headwize.com/?page_id=699   Good article on them if you reckon the treble is too overbearing.   I don't.   Like em as they are.   They have a rise in treble but the thing is the treble is good treble. They are quite shrill the first time you listen to them but after the cones...
