Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi "HD USB" vs "Surround 5.1 Pro USB"

Creative's store link states, "...headphone amp and volume control".   I did end up purchasing the HD yesterday and I have to say I am pretty happy with it.  5.1 isn't an issue, I've only got a 2.1 setup anyhow.  Just as RynoWeiss mentioned it fills out the speakers quite a bit better than...

Creative X-Fi Platinum - Next Step?

Years ago I received a Creative X-Fi Platinum for as a Christmas gift.  It's lasted with me very well and have over all been very happy with it.    The Platinum version comes with a internal 5 1/4 bay module for various outputs.  The thing that I loved about this was the front headphone/mic...

    Archiving Software For 100GB+ Folders

WinRAR, 7zip or just about any archiving and compression software can break the files up into sizes you want.  I use 7zip, free and simple.  Just doesn't do any burning.

Sub to match my Swan D1080MKII's

Thanks for the info, that clears everything up. So now that I know the Dayton's with low level inputs and output's would be ideal. Does anyone know if the AudioSource PSW-110 has low level input and output's? I see in the parts express site that it mentions it a bit, but finding exact spec's...

Sub to match my Swan D1080MKII's

I'm not sure if I follow exactly, looking at the rear panel in the pictures I get a bit lost when you mentioned a splitter. I guess my question is, which inputs should be used for what devices? According to the attachments, which would be right,,,, or are both totally wrong?

Sub to match my Swan D1080MKII's

About a week or two ago I posted how I unintentionally destroyed my 10 year old Klipsch 4.1v2's by stupidly positioning the sub port down at the floor. It was raised off the ground, but not enough. Anyhow, after reading the forums here for a bit I pulled the trigger and got a pair of Swan...

today I killed something dear to me

If I could kick myself full tilt I would. In an effort to save space in my room I killed my my Klipsch Promedia v.2-400 subwoofer. I turned it over so it was standing upward, port facing down. I did raise it up off of the floor, but it was not enough. I tore the sub's. I've had these things for...
