Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
Ofcourse they do. But what I mean is, with the evolution of technology in these 5 years, how well do they stack up against the latest gen of audiophile IEMs?- sa_ill

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
I'm wondering how well does the SE846 hold up in 2023. I have mine since 5 years, considering upgrading them. But...is it worth it? I use them directly out of my iPhone, with a Lightning to 3.5 convertor.- sa_ill

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)
Shures have always been good propositions for standing the test of time. When the SE846 was launched, they were $1000. Look at the Shure website now, they're still $1000. They don't depreciate in value. I have a question. I'm planning on going full wireless and am considering the Shure True...- sa_ill

Currently on iPhone 8 + Shure SE846. Worth replacing iPhone 8 with a portable player to upgrade sound?
That sounds interesting. Do let us know your observations once you receive your package. I connect the Se846 to the iPhone 8 via the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm convertor. I play music via Apple Music, which I believe streams music at something around 280kbps.- sa_ill

Currently on iPhone 8 + Shure SE846. Worth replacing iPhone 8 with a portable player to upgrade sound?
I looked up the Chord Mojo. It looks pretty sweet, but I don't think I will be able to carry it around. Portability is important to me. I am currently considering the Astel&Kern AK70, the KANN, the Cayin N5iis, FiiO M9 and Sony ZX300. But still, am I in for a sonic upgrade on the Shure SE846...- sa_ill

Currently on iPhone 8 + Shure SE846. Worth replacing iPhone 8 with a portable player to upgrade sound?
I wanted to purchase the Shure SE846 since the time it was launched. I was on Shure E3C (a really old, but really good pair). Last year, I finally purchased the SE846. I was somehow underwhelmed by the sound on the SE846. They're good, but not great. Maybe it's because the source is iPhone and...- sa_ill

How fast does the gum heal after a tooth extraction?
Just had two of my bottom wisdom teeth removed today. It's been 12 hours since the procedure. The pain is minimal at the moment, I'm just hoping the holes close soon so that I can start smoking again. Any smokers can share their experiences after tooth extraction? Is it ok to smoke within 12...- sa_ill

Thanks for your recommendation. But it is clearly stated in the OP that the models mentioned are the only options available. I'm in India, I don't have the liberty for ordering from the US/UK and getting through customs. They'll charge a bomb. Plus I risk the product due to the ing shipping...- sa_ill

The BX5 was my first choice, but what concerns me about them is that they are monitors rather than speakers meant for pleasure. I have listened to monitors and I have to say that I'm not a fan of their flat response. In the end, I want speakers that I can enjoy.- sa_ill

I'm upgrading from my trusty 8 year old Sonic Gear Evo7, to a more refined sound. I'm not a basshead, but I do like deep extended bass sounds. I sit about 1.5 feet from my monitor, and am considering the following options: M-Audio BX5 ($275) M-Audio AV40 ($170) Audioengine A2+ ($270)...- sa_ill

Audio-Technica ATH-WS55 and ATH-SJ33 review
*bump* So I decided not to go for the Audio Technicas. I'm willing to go out of my budget now. Thinking Shures maybe. My experience with the E3Cs was good. Now I'm thinking maybe go for $300-$400 earphones. I listen to all genres. My current favourite artists: Bjork...- sa_ill

Audio-Technica ATH-WS55 and ATH-SJ33 review
Generally Head-Fi is my go-to place for any headphone and IEM query, surprisingly didn't have much info about Audio Technica's budget line ATH-WS55, ATH-SJ33. Digging up on the internet, I found these: ...- sa_ill
